UNITED STATES SPECIAL OPERATIONS COMMAND

Raytheon E-Systems of Lexington, Kentucky, is being awarded a contract with an estimated ceiling amount of $1,120,000,000.00 for a basic one year contract plus four option years, if exercised. FY 1997 Operation and Maintenance funds are being obligated in the amount of $72,305.00 for the transition phase of this contract, beginning 1 July 1997. The contract provides logistics and maintenance support services to Special Operations Forces. Work will be performed primarily at Lexington and Richmond, Kentucky through 30 June 2002, if all options are exercised. The contracting activity is the United States Special Operations Command, MacDill AFB, Tampa, Florida, (USZA22-97-C-0013).

ARMY

Stewart and Stevenson Services Inc., Sealy, Texas, is being awarded a $7,000,000 modification to a fixed price with economic price adjustments contract for engineering change proposals to redesign the M1079 Light Medium Tactical Vehicle Van. Work will be performed in Sealy, Texas, and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 1998. Of the total contract funds, $7,000,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were three bids solicited on Sept. 20, 1990, and three bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Tank-automotive & Armaments Command, Warren, Mich. (DAAE07-92-C-R001).

Cessna Aircraft Co., Wichita, Kan., is being awarded a delivery order amount of $20,497,325 as part of a $52,002,843 firm fixed price contract for funding for five more of the 35 aircraft to be purchased along with life cycle contract support and over and above, no acquisition streamlining initiatives were required. Work will be performed in Wichita, Kan., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 24 bids solicited on Aug. 1, 1995, and three bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Aviation and Troop Command, St. Louis, Mo. (DAAJ09-96-D-0009).

AIR FORCE

The Bionetics Corp., Newport News, Va., is being awarded a $6,040,999 indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract to provide for calibration and repair of Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment at Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratories located at the following bases: Barksdale AFB, La.; Beale AFB, Calif.; Dyess AFB, Texas; Ellsworth AFB, S.D.; Fairchild AFB, Wash.; Grand Forks AFB, N.D.; MacDill aFB, Fla.; McConnell AFB, Kan.; Minot AFB, N.D.; Offutt AFB, Neb.; and Whiteman AFB, Mo. The work will be completed at the above named Air Force bases. Contract is expected to be completed September 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 34 firms solicited and 3 proposals received. Solicitation began November 1996; negotiations were completed March 1997. Air Combat Command, Langley AFB, Va., is the contracting activity (F44650-97/C-0001).

United Technologies Corp., West Palm Beach, Fla., is being awarded a $15,196,680 face value increase to a fixed price with economic price adjustment contract to provide for three spare F117-PW-100 engines applicable to the C-17 aircraft. The work will be performed at Pratt & Whitney Manufacturing Operations, Middletown, Conn. Contract is expected to be completed January 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-94/C-2155, P00016).

NAVY

Hazeltine Corp., Greenlawn, N.Y., is being awarded a $7,763,841 completion contract with a combination of cost-plus-fixed-fee Contract Line Item Numbers (CLINs) and firm- fixed CLINs for production and engineering services on AN/SLQ-20B Electronic Support Measures Processor Sets. The contract includes options which, if exercised, will bring the cumulative value of this contract to $12,612,848. Work will be performed in Greenlawn, N.Y., and is expected to be completed June 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Command, Control and Ocean Surveillance Center RDT&E Division, San Diego, CA is the contracting activity (N66001-97-C-0002).

Maersk Line Limited, Madison, N.J., is being awarded a $13,447,542 time charter contract for the 17-month charter of the combination, roll-on, roll-off/container ship Maersk Constellation. The ship will be used to transport ocean going military cargo between ports on the U.S. West Coast and the Far East. This contract includes options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to $39,154,558. The contract is expected to be completed November 1999. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Military Sealift Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity (N00033-97-C-5015).

Electric Boat Corp., Groton, Conn., is being awarded a $34,665,110 modification to previously awarded contract N00024-96-C-2100 to procure long lead time non-propulsion plant material to support lead ship construction. Work will be performed in Groton, Conn. and is expected to be completed in time to support delivery of the lead ship which is yet to be determined. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity.

K.F. Wilson, Contractor, Inc.,* Hampton, Va., Snap Contracting,* Norfolk, Va., and Metrotech Associates, Inc.,* Virginia Beach, Va., are being awarded a $15,000,000 firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity solution order contract to provide demolition of various buildings; removal of demolition debris; removal and disposal of asbestos, lead paint and other hazardous material; and restoration of building sites at the Norfolk Naval Air Station, Norfolk, Va. This acquisition was solicited with multiple award provisions. These three contractors may compete for each task order under the terms and conditions of the existing multiple awardee contract. The total contract amount is not-to-exceed $45,000,000 (base year and two option years). Work will be performed in Norfolk, Va. (80%), and Virginia Beach, Va, Portsmouth, Va., and Yorktown, Va (20%), and is expected to be completed by September 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 79 proposals solicited and 13 offers received. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Atlantic Division, Norfolk, Va., is the contracting activity (N62470-96-D-7436).
