NAVY

Druck, Inc., New Fairfield, Conn., is being awarded an $8,271,827 firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for 262 air data test sets and associated data for various Navy aircraft. Work will be performed in New Fairfield, Conn. (60%), and Groby, Leicester, Untied Kingdom (40%), and is expected to be completed by June 2001. Contract funds would not have expired at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 94 proposals solicited and eight offers received. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, N.J., is the contracting activity (N68335-97-D-0274).

Northrop Grumman Corp., Bethpage, N.Y., is being awarded a $5,800,000 firm-fixed-price contract for standard depot level maintenance services for 9 EA-6B aircraft. Work will be performed in St. Augustine, Fla., and is expected to be completed by May 1999. Contract funds will have expired at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (N00019-97-C-0086).

The Whiting-Turner Contracting Co., Bethesda, Md., is being awarded a $6,497,800 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity delivery order to a multiple task order contract for the replacement of existing Building 1732 steam boilers and auxiliary plant systems and all incidental related work in the Adal Heat Plant at Andrews Air Force Base, Camp Springs, Md. Work will be performed in Camp Springs, Md., and is expected to be completed by October 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with four proposals solicited and four offers received. The Engineering Field Activity Chesapeake, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity (N62477-95-C-0092).

Powertronics,* San Juan, Puerto Rico; Caribco International Corp.,* Puerto Real, Puerto Rico; and Francisco Levy Hijo, Inc.,* San Juan, Puerto Rico, are being awarded a $10,000,000 firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to perform alterations,

renovations and repair to barracks, administrative and personnel facilities, warehouses and other similar types of facilities with some minor construction and incidental related work. The total contract amount is not to exceed $30,000,000. These three contractors may compete for each task order under the terms and conditions of the existing multiple award contract. Work will be performed in Puerto Rico (85%), and in the Caribbean area (15%), and is expected to be completed by June 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 51 proposals solicited and 10 offers received. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Atlantic Division, Norfolk, Va., is the contracting activity (N62470-97-D-9992).

ARMY

Peterson Construction Co., Grand Forks, N.D., is being awarded a $5,339,400 firm fixed price contract for construction of a 40,300 sq. foot two-story steel and masonry facility for the Squadron Operation/Aircraft Maintenance Unit at Grand Forks Air Force Base. The project includes standing-seam metal roofing, concrete foundations, plumbing, carpentry, interior finishes, electrical, fire sprinklers, mechanical systems, systems furniture, site utilities, roadway entrance, parking lots, excavation, asbestos removal and demolition. Work will be performed at Grand Forks Air Force Base, N.D., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 18, 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 880 bids solicited on March 26, 1997, and one bid was received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City, Mo. (DACA41-97-C-0020).

CIVIL WORKS - NON MILITARY

Fru-Con Construction Corp., Ballwin, Mo., is being awarded a $2,000,000 increment as part of an $8,179,260 firm fixed price contract for construction of 20,000 feet of earthen levee and sheetpile wall, lighting along portions of the levee and modification to existing drainage structures. Work will be performed in Swayersville/Forty-Fort, Pa., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 61 bids solicited on March 31, 1997, and 11 bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore, Md. (DACW31-97-C-0088).
