ARMY

K & K Industries Inc.*, Newberry, Mich., is being awarded a $6,875,885 firm fixed price contract for replacement of the heating, ventilating and air conditioning system in 300 dwelling units. The heating is provided by steam boilers and radiators, and air conditioning is provided by window air conditioning units supplied by the occupants in housing areas 1,2,3,4,5, and 7. Air conditioning capability will be added and electrical revisions will be made in the 12 eight-plexes in housing area 4. Work will be performed at Ft. Leavenworth, Kan., and is expected to be completed by August 31, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 880 bids solicited on April 18, 1997, and four bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City, Mo. (DACA41-97-C-0023).

NAVY

  • R. A. Burch Construction Co.,* Ramona, Calif., is being awarded a $12,806,000
  • firm-fixed-price contract for construction of two dormitory buildings and two mechanical buildings at Travis Air Force Base, Fairfield, Calif. Work will be performed in Fairfield, Calif., is expected to be complete by July 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with five proposals solicited and four offers received. The Engineering Field Activity West, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, San Bruno, Calif., is the contracting activity (N62474-95-C-2575).

AIR FORCE

Lockheed Martin Tactical Defense Systems, Akron, Ohio, was awarded on June 20, a $6,500,000 face value increase to a 'definitization of undefinitized supplemental agreement' contract to definitize fabrication, test, delivery, and installation of two Weapon System Trainers applicable to the F-15S aircraft. Contract is expected to be completed October 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This effort supports foreign military sales to Saudi Arabia. Ogden Air Logistics Center, Hill AFB, Utah, is the contracting activity (F42630-93/C-0428, PZ0017).

Boeing North American, Inc., Seal Beach, Calif., was awarded on June 20, a $216,479,859 cost plus award fee contract to provide for the Defensive System Upgrade Program in support of the B-1B aircraft. This program will upgrade the aircraft's electronic countermeasures system. The work will be performed at Boeing Defense & Space Group, Seattle, Washington. Contract is expected to be completed February 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Solicitation began September 1996; negotiations were completed May 1997. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-97/C-0002).

Lockheed Martin Tactical Aircraft Systems, Ft. Worth, Texas, was awarded on June 20, an $81,956,858 firm fixed price contract to provide for six F-16C aircraft. Contract is expected to be completed December 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Solicitation began September 1996; negotiations were completed June 1997. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-96/C-0034).

McDonnell Douglas Corp., Long Beach, Calif., was awarded on June 20, an $8,952,673 face value increase to a firm fixed price contract to provide for transfer of non-production activities from the Lot VII production contract for the C-17 aircraft. This includes transition of sustaining costs to an annual block contract, and transition of supportability and development/flight test activities respectively to the Field Support and the Producibilty Enhancement/Performance Improvement contracts. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-93/C-0036, P00033).

McDonnell Douglas Corp., Long Beach, Calif., was awarded on June 20, a $9,963,534 face value increase to a fixed price incentive contract to provide for transfer of non-production activities from the Lot VI production contract for the C-17 aircraft. This includes transition of sustaining costs to an annual block contract, and transition of supportability and development/flight test activities respectively to the Field Support and the Enhancement/Performance Improvement contracts. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-92/C-0037, P00108).

Lockheed Martin Corp., Philadelphia, Pa., is being awarded a $9,793,438 face value increase to a fixed price with economic price adjustment contract to provide for the non-recurring engineering effort and materials required to support production of nine Nuclear Detonation Detection System Augmentation Payload kits for the Global Positioning System Block IIR satellite program. The work will be performed at Lockheed Martin Missiles & Space Division, King of Prussia, Pa. Contract is expected to be completed June 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Space and Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles, Calif., is the contracting activity (F04701-89/C-0073, P00129).
