ARMY

Mark Diversified Inc., Sacramento, Calif., is being awarded a $7,998,000 firm fixed price contract for construction of a new Consolidated Support Center to house the following functions: Base Personnel, Civilian Personnel, HQ Wing Finance, Pass & ID, Traffic Management Office, Information Management Forms and Publications, Document Storage Facility, U.S. Post Office, and the Postal Service Center. The facility consists of 47,000 sq. feet of new construction will all utilities, parking and paved areas, and landscaping. Also included as part of this project is building and parking and paving demolition. Special features are the Postal Service Center which will house 1,500 mailboxes of various dimensions; the Print Shop which will require sound attenuation to mitigate machinery noise; and Staging Storage which will require a high density mobile storage system. Work will be performed at Beale Air Force Base, Calif., and is expected to be completed by July 20, 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 20 bids solicited on May 9, 1997, and seven bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento, Calif. (DACA05-97-C-0105).

AIR FORCE

Communications Systems Technology, Columbia, Md., is being awarded a $5,055,925 firm fixed price contract to provide for continued maintenance and enhancement through FY 1998 of the Digital Switching Systems at Edwards AFB, Calif., Elgin AFB, Fla., and China Lake Naval Air Weapons Center, Calif. Contract is expected to be completed September 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There was one firm solicited and one proposal received. Solicitation began October 1996; negotiations were completed 1997. Air Force Flight Test Center, Edwards AFB, Fla., is the contracting activity (F04611-97/D-0058).

United Technologies Corp., West Palm Beach, Fla., is being awarded a $485,000,000 indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract to provide for kits to upgrade the F100-PW and 200 engines to the F100-PW-22E configuration for use on the F-15 and F-16 aircraft. Contract is

expected to be completed June 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There was one proposal received. Solicitation began March 1997; negotiations were completed June 1997. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-97/D-2013).

NAVY

Bechtel Environmental, Inc., Oak Ridge, Tenn., is being awarded a $2,352,349 modification to previously awarded contract N62467-93-D-0936 for environmental remedial action at Naval Air Station, Jacksonville, Fla. The basic total contract amount was not to exceed $300,000,000. Work will be performed in Jacksonville, Fla., and is expected to be completed by September 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southern Division, North Charleston, S.C., is the contracting activity.

Etec Systems, Inc., Hayward, Calif., is being awarded a $6,814,361 cost-sharing contract for the design and development of Innovative Maskless Multibeam Technology. Work will be performed in Hayward, Calif. (59%); Stanford, Calif. (14%); Santa Clara, Calif. (13%); Portland, Ore. (11%); and McMinnville, Ore. (3%), and is expected to be completed by June 2000. Contract funds would not have expired at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured by a Broad Agency Announcement and 10 offers were received. The Naval Air Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (N00019-97-C-2010).

BBN Systems and Technologies, Arlington, Va., is being awarded a $8,768,234 research and development contract with cost plus fixed fee pricing for the planning and conducting of advanced maritime warfare systems demonstrations in critical littoral regions. The contractor will develop, implement and demonstrate advanced sonar technologies at sea aboard operational Navy and research platforms in order to rapidly transition advanced sonar research technology to the Navy and to integrate it into existing capabilities. Work will be performed in Arlington, Va., (60%); New London, Conn., (20%); and Cambridge, Mass., (20%)., and is expected to be completed by July 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured by a Broad Agency Announcement. The Naval Command, Control and Ocean Surveillance Center, Research Development, Test & Evaluation Division, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity (N66001-97-C-8606).

Raytheon Co., Equipment Div., Wayland, Mass., is being awarded a $7,370,355 modification to previously awarded contract N00024-93-C-5130 for United States Navy AEGIS Ship Weapon Systems Engineering Support and Services. Work will be performed in Burlington, Mass., and is expected to be completed by June 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity.
