Nova Group Inc., Napa, Calif., is being awarded a $12,677,000 firm-fixed-price contract to construct a new Type III 2,400 gallon-per-minute hydrant fueling system with two 10,000 barrel operating tanks and four hydrant outlets. The project includes a 2,400 gallon-per-minute pumphouse with filter separators; and a heating, ventilating and air conditioning control room. Work will be performed at Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska, and is expected to be completed by Aug. 22, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 54 bids solicited on May 5, 1997, and five bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Anchorage, Alaska (DACA85-97-C-0021).
TASC, Reading, Mass., is being awarded a $517,139 increment as part of a $5,655,897 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for enabling technologies for multi-resolution Synthetic Natural Environment (SNE) Scenario Creation management, Joint Simulation System (JSIMS) environmental tailoring services, and framework of reusable objects in the synthetic natural environment for the Advanced Simulation Technology Thrust Program. Work will be performed in Reading, Mass. (84%); and Arlington, Va. (16%), and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 1999 (if options are exercised). Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There was a broad agency announcement on October 3, 1996, and 30 bids were received. The contracting activity is the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, Arlington, Va. (MDA972-97-C-0024).

Orbital Sciences Corp., Dulles, Va., is being awarded a $14,949,246 face value increase to a firm-fixed-price contract to provide for launch services using a Taurus launch vehicle to place a multi-spectral thermal imaging satellite in orbit. Contract is expected to be completed October 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
