ARMY

Electronic Warfare Associates, Herndon, Va., is being awarded a $3,000,000 increment as part of a $14,062,818 cost-plus-fixed-fee/firm-fixed-price contract for Single Source Processor (SSP)-Signal Intelligence (SIGINT) (SSP-S), the interim system for the All Source Analysis System (ASAS) SIGINT capability at echelons above corps. This is a follow-on effort to incorporate SSP-S upgrades into ASAS in the area of shelter communications, transportable downsized communications, and modification of software to enhance analytical software applications and address Year 2000 problems. Work will be performed in Fairmont, W.Va. (80%); Herndon, Va. (10%); and Austin, Texas (10%), and is expected to be completed by Aug. 31, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on May 15, 1997. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Communications and Electronics Command, Ft. Monmouth, N.J. (DAAB07-97-C-E610).

AIR FORCE

Boeing Defense and Space Group, Wichita, Kan., is being awarded a $20,035,042 face value increase to a firm-fixed-price contract to provide for 291 BRU-44B/A bomb racks applicable to the B-2 aircraft and upgrade of 226 BRU-44A/A racks to the B/A configuration. This effort includes 12,500 ejector cartridges to support the B/A configuration. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-C/0011, P00001).

NAVY

L-3 Communications, Communication Systems-West, Salt Lake City, Utah, is being awarded a $9,437,891 undefinitized contract for Ku-Band satellite air and ground data terminals, spare parts, ground support equipment, and data for use in the Predator Unmanned Air Vehicle system. Work will be performed in Salt Lake City, Utah, and is expected to be completed by January 1999. Contract funds do not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00019-97-C-0071).

ManTech Systems Engineering Corp. Chantilly, Va., is being awarded a $7,350,411 firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for the third echelon test set, and associated training, software and technical data. This contract provides a portable test system to test a wide variety of weapon/communication systems on the forward edge of the battlefield area for the Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment Program Manager (PM TMDE). This contract includes options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to $84,579,437. Work will be performed in Chantilly, Va., and is expected to be completed by February 1998. Contract funds do not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 81 proposals solicited and five offers received. The Marine Corps Systems Command, Quantico, Va., is the contracting activity (M67854-97-D-3047).
