DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

PRC, Inc., Charlotte, N.C., was awarded on Aug. 5, 1997, an indefinite quantity/indefinite delivery, firm-fixed-price, multiple award contract not to exceed $180,000,000 for DLA Systems Engineering Technical Services, which involves the acquisition of information resources management technical support services. Three hundred twenty proposals were solicited and six were received. Work is expected to be completed by 2002. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The DLA Administrative Support Center, Fort Belvoir, Va., is the contracting activity (SP4700-97-D- 0020).

Lockheed Martin Federal Systems, Chicago, Ill., was awarded on Aug. 5, 1997, an indefinite quantity/indefinite delivery, firm-fixed-price, multiple award contract not to exceed $180,000,000 for DLA Systems Engineering Technical Services, which involves acquisition of information resources management technical support services. Three hundred twenty proposals were solicited and six were received. Work is expected to be completed by 2002. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. Science Applications International Corporation, San Diego, Calif., was awarded on Aug. 5, 1997, an indefinite quantity/indefinite delivery, firm-fixed-price, multiple award contract not to exceed $180,000,000 for DLA Systems Engineering Technical Services, which involves acquisition of information resources management technical support services. Three hundred twenty proposals were solicited and six were received. Work is expected to be completed by 2002. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. Electronic Data Systems, Herndon, Va., was awarded on Aug. 5, 1997, an indefinite quantity/indefinite delivery, firm-fixed-price, multiple award contract not to exceed $180,000,000 for DLA Systems Engineering Technical Services, which involves the acquisition of information resources management technical support services. Three hundred twenty proposals were solicited and six were received. Work is expected to be completed by 2002. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. Carter Industries, Inc.**, Brooklyn, N.Y., is being awarded a $9,473,893 firm-fixed-price contract for trousers. One proposal was solicited and one was received. Work is expected to be completed by November 1998. The Defense Personnel Support Center, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SPO100-97-C- 5045).

ARMY

Paragon Systems Inc.*, Fairfax, Va., is being awarded a delivery order amount of $500,000 as part of a not-to-exceed $28,000,000 (if options are exercised, base plus four years) indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract to provide local-area-network/wide-area-network (LAN/WAN) transmission equipment, fiber-optic equipment, fiber-optic cables, building cables, sub-level multiplex equipment, modems and other related automation support equipment and services to engineer, furnish, install, operate and maintain secure LAN/WAN's at facilities located within the Continental United States and outside the Continental United States for the Technology Applications Office and its customers. Work will be performed in Fairfax, Va. (20%); Washington, D.C. (20%); Fayetteville, N.C. (20%), and various other sites (40%), and is expected to be completed by Aug. 14, 2002. Of the total contract funds, $500,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 46 bids solicited on May 5, 1997, and one bid was received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Communications and Electronics Command, Ft. Monmouth, N.J. (DAAB07-97-D-3002).

NAVY

  • Tracor Applied Sciences, Inc., California, Md., is being awarded a $24,088,330 cost-
  • plus-fixed-fee contract to provide technical and engineering services to support the design, development, installation, integration, test and evaluation, and certification of Radio Communications Systems for the Navy's DDG and CG class ships. Work will be performed in California, Md. (80%), St. Inigoes, Md. (10%), Bath, Maine (5%), and Pascagoula, Miss. (5%), and is expected to be completed by July 2002. Contract funds in the amount of $88,823 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 35 proposals solicited and one offer was received. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00421-97-C-1460).

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Inc., San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a $25,492,200 undefinitized contract for eight Predator Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, two ground control stations, spare parts, ground support equipment, program management, and data. Work will be performed in Rancho Bernado, Calif., and is expected to be completed by September 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00019-97-C-0106).
