DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Owens & Minor Corp., Glen Allen, Va., is being awarded a $6,069,500 firm-fixed-price modified requirements contract for medical/surgical supplies under the Prime Vendor program. Approximately 300 proposals were solicited and seven were received. Work will be performed in Livermore, Calif., and is expected to be completed by August 28, 1998. The Defense Personnel Support Center, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SPO200-96-D-7125).

McKesson Drug Company, San Francisco, Calif., is being awarded a $25,209,621 firm-fixed-price modified requirements contract for pharmaceuticals under the Prime Vendor program. Two hundred ninety four proposals were solicited and three were received. Work will be performed in Anaheim, Calif., and is expected to be completed by August 28, 1998. The Defense Personnel Support Center, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (DLA120- 93-D-7001).

ARMY

Gerald T. Stay*, Buffalo, N.Y., is being awarded an $8,738,000 firm-fixed-price contract for replacement of family housing. The project includes construction of 88 new 3-bedroom family housing units (44 duplexes), complete, and demolition of existing family housing units. Work will be performed at Fort Bragg, N.C., and is expected to be completed by Feb. 28, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 133 bids solicited on April 10, 1997, and nine bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah, Ga. (DACA21-97-C-0066).

GTE Government Systems Corp., Taunton, Mass., is being awarded a $5,640,109 modification to a firm-fixed-price/time and materials contract for the acquisition of protocol software through a one-time buyout, along with maintenance options; and exercise of options for protocol software maintenance and for Common Hardware Software-2 (CHS-2) Program Customer Orders for handheld terminal units, their upgrade and retrofit actions. Work will be performed in Taunton, Mass., and is expected to be completed by April 10, 2005. Of the total

contract funds, $62,121will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 50 bids solicited on April 21, 1993, and three bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Communications and Electronics Command, Ft. Monmouth, N.J. (DAAB07-94-C-N853).

AIR FORCE

Rocketdyne Technical Services, Co., Albuquerque, N.M., is being awarded a $14,094,719 face value increase to a cost-plus-award-fee contract to provide for FY 1998 Operation, Maintenance, and Support and Research and Development at the Maui Space Surveillance System, Maui, Hawaii. The work will be performed at Rocketdyne Technical Services Co., Maui, Hawaii. Work is expected to be completed by September 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The 21st Contracting Squadron, Peterson AFB, Co. is the contracting activity (F05604-95/C-9011).

TRW, Inc., is being awarded a $45,301,321 face value increase to a cost-plus-award-fee contract to provide for FY 1998 Continuous Engineering Services and Technical Assistance in support of the Silo Based Intercontinental Ballistic Missile Weapon System. Work is expected to be completed by September 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Ogden Air Logistics Center, Hill AFB, Utah, is the contracting activity (F42610-95/C-0043, P00051).

NAVY

  • Northrop Grumman Corp., Bethpage, N.Y., is being awarded an $8,435,494 firm-fixed-price delivery order against a basic ordering agreement for the 9000 Flight Hour Time Compliance (TCR) Bridge 2 fatigue testing effort for the F-14 aircraft. This effort involves
  • non-recurring engineering; fatigue coupon testing; non-recurring procurement of aircraft parts, fasteners and materials; non-recurring procurement of installation tooling; delivery and material management of installation tooling; and associated technical and administrative data. Work will be performed in Bethpage, N.Y., and is expected to be completed by March 1998. Contract funds would not have expired at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00019-96-G-0089).

Alliant Techsystems Inc., Allegany Ballistics Laboratory, Rocket Center, W.V., is being awarded an $8,215,924 firm-fixed-price contract to procure 183 MK58 Mod 4 RIM-7P (surface-to-air) Sparrow Missile Rocket Motors for NATO (75) and the governments of Korea (47), Turkey (40) and Greece (21); and 105 MK58 Mod 5 AIM-7P (air-to-air) Sparrow Missile Rocket Motors for the Governments of Singapore (5) and Spain (100). This contract combines purchases for NATO (26%) and the governments of Korea (17%), Turkey (14%), Greece (7%), Singapore (2%), and Spain (34%), under the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Program. Work will be performed in Rocket Center, W.V., and is expected to be completed by July 2000. Contract funds would not have expired at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with seven proposals solicited and one offer received. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00019-97-C-0156).
