ARMY

Sigal Construction Corp., Washington, D.C., was awarded on Aug. 25, 1997, a $5,873,000 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of an administrative facility (47,600 sq. feet), a two-story building to house administrative storage and communications. The project also includes site improvements, utilities and parking. Work will be performed at Fort Belvoir, Va., and is expected to be completed by Aug. 5, 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 43 bids solicited on July 2, 1997, and 13 bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore, Md. (DACA31-97-C-0056).

Pacific Architects and Engineers, Los Angeles, Calif., is being awarded a $1,405,835 increment as part of a $7,715,640 (base plus four one-year options) firm-fixed-price contract for transportation, equipment management, mobile equipment operations, maintenance, and repair for motor vehicles. Work will be performed at Rock Island Arsenal, Rock Island, Ill., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 27 bids solicited on March 31, 1997, and three bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Armament, Munitions and Chemical Command, Rock Island, Ill. (DAAA08-97-C-0034).

ABB SUSA Inc., North Brunswick, N.J., is being awarded a $14,511,388 firm-fixed-price contract for Kuwait Multi-purpose Range Complex training of the armor vehicle crews. Work will be performed in Al Udayri, Kuwait, and is expected to be completed by Feb. 28, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 12 bids solicited on April 18, 1997, and two bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Tank-automotive & Armaments Command, Rock Island, Ill. (DAAE20-97-C-0237).

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Gibraltar PR, Inc.**, San Lorenzo Municipio, Puerto Rico, is being awarded an estimated $6,397,634 firm-fixed-price indefinite quantity contract for tactical load bearing vests. Fifty proposals were solicited and twelve were received. Work is expected to be completed by April 18, 1999. The Defense Personnel Support Center, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SPO100-97-D-4016).

NAVY

Northrop Grumman Corp., Bethpage, Long Island, N.Y., is being awarded a $21,839,844 cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for technical engineering support services in support of F-14 Weapon Systems Support Activity (WSSA) tasks on current and future F-14 aircraft and trainer systems, including the F-14A/B, F-14 A/B Upgrade, F-14D, future variants of the F-14 aircraft and the F-14A/B/D trainer suites. Work will be performed in Point Mugu, Calif., and is expected to be completed by August 2000. Contract funds would not have expired at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Warfare Center, Weapons Division, Point Mugu, Calif., is the contracting activity (N68936-97-D-0283).

  • Baker Support Services, Inc., Dallas, Texas, is being awarded a $14,598,383 modification to previously awarded contract N62742-92-D-0509 to exercise an option to provide all management, labor, administration, supervision, materials, supplies, and equipment to provide base operating support services at the Pacific Missile Range Facility, Barking Sands, Kauai, Hawaii. With the exercise of this option, the new cumulative value of this contract is $84,986,942. This contract was originally awarded under the name Intelcom Support Services, Inc. and by Modification P00007 dated 8 June 1994, the corporate name changed to Baker Support Services., Inc. Work will be performed in Kauai, Hawaii, and is expected to be completed by July 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
