UNITED STATES SPECIAL OPERATIONS COMMAND
Halter Marine, Inc., Gulfport, Miss., was awarded on Nov. 10, 1997, a $29,959,500 firm-fixed-price modification for the exercise of option under Contract No. MDA911-95-C-0004, P00019, for an additional six (6) MK V Special Operations Craft (SOC), six (6) transporters, six (6) maintenance cradles and guaranty. Work will be performed at New Orleans, Louisiana. Fiscal Year 1998 procurement funds will be utilized. The contracting activity is the United States Special Operations Command, Directorate of Procurement, 7701 Tampa Point Boulevard, MacDill Air Force Base, Fla. (MDA911-95-C-0004, P00019).
Lockheed Martin Vought Systems Corp., Grand Prairie, Tex., is being awarded a $16,623,705 modification (to fund one-half of the option being exercised) to a firm-fixed-price contract for 223 Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS) Rocket Pods for Korea and Bahrain. Work will be performed in Camden, Ark. (80%); and Dallas, Texas (20%), and is expected to be completed by May 31, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on April 30, 1996. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala. (DAAH01-96-C-0304).
TRW Inc, Avionics & Surveillance Group, Military Electronic and Avionics Division, San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a $9,630,000 indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity with cost-plus-fixed-fee type orders contract for Avionics Communication, Navigation, Identification (CNI) Exploration. Contract is expected to be completed in November 2007. Contract funds will not expire at the end of current fiscal year. The solicitation was issued in March 1997 and negotiations were completed in October 1997. Wright Laboratory, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio is the contracting activity (F33615-97-D-1045).

Pacer Infotec, Inc., Billerica, Mass., is being awarded a $21,564,033 indefinite-quality/indefinite-delivery, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to provide engineering and technical support for various Amphibious Warfare, U.S. Marine Corps, and Strategic Sealift programs and systems being developed or supported by the Coastal Systems Station, Panama City, Fla. Work will be performed in Panama City, Fla., and is expected to be completed by November 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 96 proposals solicited and two offers received. The Coastal Systems Station Dahlgren Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Panama City, Fla., is the contracting activity (N61331-98-D-0002).
General Electric Aircraft Engines, General Electric Co., Lynn, Mass., is being awarded a $16,290,785 modification to previously awarded contract N00019-95-C-0132 to exercise an option to procure seven additional F404-GE-402 engines and seven afterburner modules for the Government of Finland under the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Program. Work will be performed in Lynn, Mass. (51%); Evendale, Ohio (25%); Linnavouri, Finland (7%); Albuquerque, N.M. (4%); Rutland, Vt. (4%); Madisonville, Ky. (4%); Hooksett, N.H. (3%); and Wilmington, N.C. (2%), and is expected to be completed by July 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.
