DEFENSE INFORMATION SYSTEMS AGENCY

MCI Telecommunications Corp., McLean, Va. was awarded on November 20, 1997 a $7,095,604 firm-fixed price contract for leased commercial communications services from Andrews AFB, Md. to Heidelberg, Germany to support common users for command and control circuit requirements and Defense Switched Network traffic. The lifecycle cost for the basic T-1, optional T-1, and optional service life includes a non-recurring cost of $52,973 for each service. Base amount of the contract is $1,900,000. The contract is on a month-to-month basis. The Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization, Scott Air Force Base, Ill. is the contracting activity. UNITED STATES SPECIAL OPERATIONS COMMAND

Serv Air, Inc., Greenville, Texas, is being issued a modification for extension of services being performed under Contract DAAB07-92-Z-B506 which supports the Special Operations Forces Support Activity (SOFSA). As a result, the estimated amount of the contract is being increased by $50,000,000 to allow for continuance of work at the SOFSA to support the USSOCOM mission. Work will continue to be performed primarily in Lexington, Kentucky. The contracting activity is the United states Special operations Command, Directorate of Procurement, 7701 Tampa Point Boulevard, MacDill Air Force Base, Fla.

AIR FORCE

Honeywell, Inc., Clearwater, Fla, is being awarded a $22,764,000 firm-fixed-price contract for an additional 173 Embedded Global Positioning System (GPS)/Inertial Navigation System (INS) (EGI) Production Units including an equal number of Mounts and Warranties, all of which are missionized for installation into the United States Air Force C/KC-135 Transport Aircraft under the PACER CRAG Installation Program. Contract is expected to be completed in October 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of current fiscal year. NAVY

Rockwell Collins, Communications Systems Div., Richardson, Texas, is being awarded a $28,659,255 modification to previously awarded contract N00019-95-C-0212 to exercise an option for the final production of High Power Transmit Set Group A and B kits for the E-6A aircraft. Work will be performed in Richardson, Texas (90%), Shreveport, La. (6%), and Coralville, Iowa (4%), and is expected to be completed by June 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

TRW Inc., San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a $15,000,380 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for contractor logistics support for the "Hunter" Joint Tactical Unmanned Aerial Vehicle program. The contractor will perform program management support, depot/asset management support, and flight operations support. Work will be performed in Sierra Vista, Ariz., and is expected to be completed by September 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00019-98-C-0010).

Logicon Syscon Services, Inc., Falls Church, Va., is being awarded an $11,252,523 modification to previously awarded contract N00024-97-C-5214 to exercise an option to conduct combat systems engineering for digital computer based shipboard combat systems. Work will be performed in Arlington, Va., and is expected to be completed by April 1999. Contract funds in the amount of $110,000 will expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity.

ARMY

United Defense LP, Ground Systems Division, York, Pa., is being awarded an $11,700,000 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract for 5 Vehicle Platforms (XM4), pursuant to option provision. Work will be performed in York, Pa. (94%); and Aiken, S.C. (6%), and is expected to be completed by June 30, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on July 2, 1996. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Tank-automotive & Armaments Command, Warren, Mich. (DAAE07-97-C-X032).
