ARMY

Halifax Corp., Alexandria, Va., is being awarded a firm-fixed-price contract (appropriation number and dollar value will be issued with each delivery order) with a not-to-exceed ceiling of $200,000,000 (base year and four option years) to purchase long term life cycle support of Lucent Technologies (LTLCS) Electronic Digital Switch (EDS) Systems installed at Department of Defense and federal agency locations worldwide, to support the total EDS systems. Work will be performed at various locations inside and outside of the Continental United States, and is expected to be completed by Nov. 25, 2002. There was an announcement on the electronic bulletin board on April 4, 1997, and two bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Communications & Electronics Command, Ft. Monmouth, N.J. (DAAB07-98-D-L771).

CIVIL WORKS - NON MILITARY

Weeks Marine Inc., Camden, N.J., is being awarded a $2,039,000 increment as part of a $6,286,000 firm-fixed-price contract for maintenance dredging, a 46-foot project, at the Kings Bay Entrance Channel. Work will be performed in Fernandina Harbor, Fla., and is expected to be completed by Aug. 30, 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 450 bids solicited on Sept. 9, 1997, and one bid was received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville, Fla. (DACW17-98-C-0003).

AIR FORCE

McDonnell Douglas Corp., St. Louis, Mo., is being awarded a $57,964,260 firm-fixed-price contract to definitize Organizationand Intermediate Level Support Equipment for the F-151 aircraft. At this time, $10,208,648 of the contract funds have been obligated. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This effort supports foreign military sales to Israel. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-94/C-2195, P00012).

NAVY

Bell-Boeing Joint Project Office, Patuxent River, Md., is being awarded a $34,238,834 modification to previously awarded contract N00019-96-C-0054 for the manufacture, installation, test and support of an MV-22 Full Flight Simulator. Work will be performed in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma (49%), Fort Worth, Texas (35%), and Ridley Park, Penn. (16%), and is expected to be completed in May 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity.

  • Frequency Engineering Laboratories (FEL) Corp., Farmingdale, N.J., is being awarded
  • an $11,588,408 firm-fixed-price contract for 107 metal/glass shredders, 11 small pulpers and
  • 46 large pulpers and related installation and checkout spares, onboard spares and auxiliary components for surface ships. This contract includes options which, if exercised would bring the cumulative value of this contract to $19,949,771. Work will be performed in Farmingdale, N.J., and is expected to be completed by June 1999. Contract funds in the amount of $118,246 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 41 proposal solicited and nine offers received. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (N00024-98-C-4034).

Texas Instruments, Lewisville, Texas, is being awarded a $5,845,154 modification to previously awarded contract N00019-91-C-0196 for the full integration of the Joint Standoff Weapon System on the B-2 aircraft. Work will be performed in Lewisville, Texas, and is expected to be completed in December 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

  • Universal Technologies, Inc., Estill Springs, Tenn., is being awarded a $5,204,779
  • firm-fixed-price contract for 11 small pulpers and 46 large pulpers and related installation and checkout spares, onboard spares and auxiliary components for surface ships. This contract includes options which, if exercised would bring the cumulative value of this contract to $9,281,249. Work will be performed in Estill Springs, Tenn. (58%), Joplin, Mo. (9%), Washington, Penn. (4%), Lancaster, S.C. (3%), Huntsville, Ala. (3%), Norcross, Ga. (3%), Newport, Ky. (3%), Huntington, N.Y. (3%), Knoxville, Tenn. (2%), Longmont, Colo. (2%), Downers Grove, Ill. (2%), Palos Heights, Ill. (2%), Minneapolis, Minn. (2%), Chattanooga, Tenn. (1%), Yorba Linda, Calif. (1%), Whittier, Calif. (1%), Mertzon, Texas (1%), and is expected to be completed by June 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
