ARMY

CIVIL WORKS - NON MILITARY

Tidewater Construction Corp., Norfolk, Va., is being awarded a $9,196,000 firm-fixed-price contract for beach erosion control and hurricane protection. Work will be performed at Virginia Beach, Va., and is expected to be completed by June 30, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 73 bids solicited on July 18, 1997, and five bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Norfolk, Va. (DACW65-98-C-0019).

GenCorp Aerojet, Sacramento, Calif., is being awarded a $200,000 increment as part of a $15,098,717 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for research and development for five Active Protection Systems (APS) Warhead Programs. Work will be performed in Sacramento, Calif., and is expected to be completed by Nov. 30, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Aug. 19, 1997. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Tank-automotive & Armaments Command, Picatinny Arsenal, N.J. (DAAE30-98-C-1027).

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Sundstrand Aerospace, Rockford, Ill., is being awarded a $15,534,387 fixed-price-with-economic-price-adjustment contract for aerospace aircraft parts. Four proposals were solicited and one was received. Work is expected to be completed by Dec. 4, 1998. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Supply Center Columbus, Columbus, Ohio, is the contracting activity (SPO700-98-D-9701).

AIR FORCE

CH2M Hill Ltd., Denver, Colo.; International Technology Corp., Knoxville, Tenn.; Parsons Engineering-Science Inc., Austin, Texas; and Tetra Tech Inc., Pasadena, Calif., are being awarded a $75,000,000 (estimated $18,750,000 each) cost-plus-fixed-fee/firm-fixed-price contract for architect-engineering services for environmental assessment, investigation and study. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The solicitation was issued in September 1997, and negotiations were completed in November 1997. Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center, Tinker Air Force Base, Okla., is the contracting activity (F34650-98-D-0032,33,34,35).
