DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Allison Engine Company Inc., Indianapolis, Ind., is being awarded a $5,651,448 firm-fixed-price contract for turbine engine blades. Work is expected to be completed Dec. 31, 1998. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Supply Center Richmond, Richmond, Va., is the contracting activity (F34601-95-G-0012-TYG8).

NAVY

  • Raytheon Missile Systems Co., Tucson, Ariz., is being awarded a $27,204,580 firm-
  • fixed-price production contract for production of the MK 44 Mod 0 Guided Missile Round Pack for the Rolling Airframe Missile Program. A quantity of 60 Guided Missile Round Packs are being procured along with 40 sets of Block 0/1 common material in support of the Block 1 Guided Missile Round Pack. Work will be performed in Tucson, Ariz. (50%), and Ottobrunn, Germany (50%), and is expected to be completed by September 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (N00024-98-C-5413).
  • Mid-Eastern Builders Inc., Chesapeake, Va., is being awarded a $17,084,035 firm-
  • fixed-price contract for replacement of the Fuel Tankage at the Defense Fuel Support Point, Craney Island. Work will be performed in Portsmouth, Va., and is expected to be completed by January 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 116 proposals solicited and 12 offers received. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Atlantic Division, Norfolk, Va., is the contracting activity (N62470-96-C-6072).

AIR FORCE

Raytheon Co., Marlborough, Mass., is being awarded a $5,918,435 face value increase to a time-and-materials contract to provide for technical services in calendar year 1998 for the MILSATCOM (Military Satellite Communication) Air Force Terminals. These are both airborne

and in-ground stations. These services are under the contract for the former MILSTAR constellation of military satellites, now managed under MILSATCOM, and include: System Test Support, Contractor repair support for full scale engineering development/engineering development model terminals and time distribution subsystem preprocessor support. At this time, $5,020,000 of the contract funds have been obligated. Contract is expected to be completed December 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Electronic Systems Center, Hanscom Air Force Base, Mass., is the contracting activity (F19628-85/C-0004, P00267).

ARMY

Lockheed Martin Vought Systems, Dallas, Texas, is being awarded a $14,203,759 firm-fixed-price contract for Army Tactical Missile System (ARMY TACMS) long lead time items in support of 100 Block 1A Army TACMS Missiles. Work will be performed in Dallas, Texas, and is expected to be completed by May 31, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Sept. 12, 1996. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala. (DAAH01-98-C-0093).

Raytheon Co., Electronic Systems, Bedford, Mass., is being awarded a $53,058,970 modification to a cost-plus-award-fee contract for FY98 PATRIOT engineering services for Germany, Israel, Netherlands, Republic of China, Saudi Arabia, and Japan. Work will be performed in Bedford, Mass. (19.77%); Andover, Mass. (3.30%); Burlington, Mass. (6.87%); Huntsville, Ala. (7.36%); Orlando, Fla. (1.20%); Tewksbury, Mass. (59.78%); and El Paso, Texas (1.72%), and is expected to be completed by Jan. 31, 1999. Of the total contract funds, $2,100,708 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on July 7, 1997. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala. (DAAH01-95-C-0043).

Raytheon Electronic Systems, Bedford, Mass., is being awarded an $85,694,456 modification to a cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for a definitization of a letter contract for the remanufacture of 8 HAWK Assault Fire Units for Egypt. Work will be performed in Bedford, Mass., and is expected to be completed by June 30, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Dec. 10, 1996. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala. (DAAH01-97-C-0106).

Olin Corp., Winchester Division, Independence, Mo., is being awarded a $34,485,067 modification to a cost-plus-award-fee contract for the operation and maintenance of a government owned/contractor operated facility and production of small caliber ammunition; 5.66 mm, 7.62 mm, 20 mm, and caliber .50, to support the troops in the field. Work will be performed at the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant, Independence, Mo., and is expected to be

completed by Sept. 30, 1998. Of the total contract funds, $1,655,016 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Jan. 30, 1997. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Armament, Munitions & Chemical Command, Rock Island, Ill. (DAAA09-91-Z-0009).

Holston Defense Corp., Kingsport, Tenn., is being awarded a $34,991,323 modification to a cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for the production of ammunition explosives (Comp C-4, Class 3 (tagged), Comp A-3, Type II, and PBXN-5, Type II, Class 3). Work will be performed at the Holston Army Ammunition Plant, Kingsport, Tenn., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Dec. 22, 1997. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Armament, Munitions & Chemical Command, Rock Island, Ill. (DAAA09-92-Z-0008).

Lockheed Martin Electronics & Missiles, Orlando, Fla., is being awarded a $26,076,732 modification to a firm-fixed-price with time and materials and contract line options contract to exercise the CY98 option for the depot repair contract for Target Acquisition Designation/Pilot Night Vision System (TADS/PNVS), applicable to the AH-64D Apache Aircraft. Work will be performed in Orlando, Fla., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on June 19, 1996. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, St. Louis, Mo. (DAAJ09-97-C-0041).
