ARMY

Raytheon Co., Raytheon Electronics Systems, Marlborough, Mass., is being awarded a $5,231,000 modification to a firm-fixed-price/fixed-price with economic price adjustments/time and materials hybrid contract for the Baseband Engineering Change Proposal (ECP). The purpose of this contract modification is to award a not-to-exceed ceiling price for the ECP. The ECP will provide a significant technology upgrade to the existing tri-band terminal baseline design. This upgrade will change the commercial design to include the integration of Integrated Services Digital Network and Asynchronous-technologies. Work will be performed in Marlborough, Mass., and is expected to be completed by June 30, 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There was an announcement on the electronic bulletin board on April 15, 1996, and 16 bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Communications and Electronics Command, Ft. Monmouth, N.J. (DAAB07-96-C-A510).

John C. Grimberg Co. Inc., Rockville, Md., is being awarded a $5,818,202 firm-fixed-price contract to demolish an existing facility to structure; install additional piles to support future building loads and excavate to lower the basement floor; and install new building systems and walls for tenant and building support spaces. Work will be performed in the Pentagon Reservation, Arlington, Va., and is expected to be completed by Nov. 3, 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 81 bids solicited on June 9, 1997, and six bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore, Md. (DACA31-98-C-0012).

CIVIL WORKS - NON MILITARY

Kiewit Construction Co., Elkridge, Md., is being awarded a $200,000 increment as part of a $45,404,000 firm-fixed-price contract for the Poplar Island Habitat Restoration Project, Phase I. Construction consists of a perimeter dike, consisting mainly of sand core, armor stone, and geotextile fabric, enclosing 640 acres. Work will be performed in Talbot County, Md., and is expected to be completed by May 30, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 77 bids solicited on Dec. 12, 1997, and eight bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore, Md. (DACW31-98-C-0014).

AIR FORCE

Pemco Aeroplex Incorporated, Birmingham, Ala., is being awarded a $7,715,853 face value increase to a Fixed Price Incentive contract to provide for programmed depot maintenance, including maintenance, repair and modification, for three KC-135 aircraft. Oklahoma city Air Logistics Center, Tinker AFB Oka., is the contracting activity (F34601-94-C-0664-P00107).

Beneco Enterprises Incorporated, Midvale, Utah, is being awarded a $10,000,000 Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract to provide for the Simplified Acquisition of Base Engineering Requirements for Bolling Air Force Base, District of Columbia including Defense Intelligence Agency Headquarters, from 27 January 1998 to 26 January 1999. This effort involves non-complex minor construction, maintenance, and repair that require minimal design. Funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued. 11th Contracting Squadron, Bolling AFB, District of Columbia, is the contracting activity (F49642-98-D0010)
