AIR FORCE

Holmes and Narver Services, Inc., Orange, Calif., is being awarded a $7,906,134 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for construction of 51 units of military family housing at Edwards AFB, Calif. Contract is expected to be completed June 1999. There were 142 firms solicited and seven proposals received. Solicitation began December 1997; negotiations were completed February 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Edwards AFB, Calif., is the contracting activity (F04700-98/C-0020).

NAVY

ORINCON Corp., San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a $15,019,918 indefinite-delivery contract with cost-plus-fixed-fee pricing for research and development support in signal and information technology. These engineering services support the following Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, San Diego programs: Full spectrum processing, commercial off-the-shelf conversion of enhanced modular signal processor, ships systems automation, situationally adaptive sonar technology for shallow water antisubmarine warfare, marine mammal acoustic tracking system, advanced deployable surveillance, deployable autonomous distributed system, and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance data fusion processing. This contract contains one option which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to $20,189,093. Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif., and is expected to be completed by August 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity (N66001-98-D-5007).

Smith Industries, Clearwater, Fla., is being awarded a $9,616,980 indefinite-quantity contract for 435 electron tubes, a component of the multi-purpose color display used on F/A-18 and AV-8B aircraft. This contract includes options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to $13,264,800. Work will be performed in Beaverton, Oregon, and is expected to be completed by March 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the

current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. This contract combines purchases for the U.S. Navy (92%), and the governments of Switzerland (3.5%), Finland (3.5%), and Malaysia (1%) under the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Program. The Naval Inventory Control Point, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (N00383-98-D-005D).

  • Hughes Aircraft Co., Fullerton, Calif., is being awarded a $5,781,866 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for SURTASS/J-AOS block upgrade system software maintenance. This effort will provide for Surveillance Towed Array Sensor (SURTASS) and Japanese Auxiliary Oceanographic System (J-AOS) block upgrade system software maintenance, testing, Land Based Test Site (LBTS)/Program Generation Center (PGC) operations and maintenance, on-site support, engineering services and related data and technical manuals. This contract includes options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to $28,254,734. Work will be performed in Fullerton, Calif., and is expected to be completed by December 1998.

UNITED STATES SPECIAL OPERATIONS COMMAND

Serv Air, Inc., of Greenville, Texas, is being awarded a $100,000,000 modification to a previously awarded contract, DAAB07-92-Z-B506, which supports the Special Operations Forces Support Activity (SOFSA). This modification will allow continuance of work, primarily in Lexington, Ky. The United States Special Operations Command, MacDill Air Force Base, Fla., is the contracting office.
