ARMY

Allied Signal Engines, Phoenix, Ariz., is being awarded an $842,000 increment as part of a $39,154,602 cost-share reimbursement contract for research and development of the Tri-Service Program to further develop the Joint Turbine Advanced Gas Generator (JTAGG-III). Work will be performed in Phoenix, Ariz., and is expected to be completed by Jan. 19, 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were six bids solicited on April 2, 1997, and one bid was received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Ft. Eustis, Va. (DAAH10-98-C-0023).

CIVIL WORKS - NON MILITARY

IT Corp., Monroeville, Pa., is being awarded $500,000 as part of a not-to-exceed $270,000,000 indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity, cost reimbursement, multi-year contract for the remediation of hazardous, toxic, and radioactive waste projects and sites. Work will be performed in Kansas City, Mo., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 2, 2008. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 198 bids solicited on Oct. 20, 1997, and five bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City, Mo. (DACW41-98-D-9006).

Environmental Specialists Inc., Kansas City, Mo., is being awarded a $6,000,000 increment as part of a $35,701,907 firm-fixed-price construction contract. The project includes channel excavation, hauling, and disposal of excavated material (on-site and off-site), stabilization of bank slopes with H piles, rockfill and riprap placement, removal of a concrete dam, modification of drainage structures, seeding and mulching, and relocation of a waterline. Work will be performed in Kansas City, Mo., and is expected to be completed by Oct. 31, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 542 bids solicited on July 31, 1997, and five bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City, Mo. (DACW41-98-C-0007).

  • PK Contractors, Inc.,* Spokane, Wash., is being awarded a $25,000,296 firm-fixed-price construction contract for replacement of the Basilone Road Bridge and Santa Margarita River Flood Control at Marine Corps Base, Camp Pendleton. This contract includes options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to $25,783,958. Work will be performed in Oceanside, Calif., and is expected to be completed by February 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.   • Vitro Corp., Rockville, Md., is being awarded a $5,594,584 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for management and execution of government storerooms, warehousing, receiving, material movement, and other related program logistic support operations in support of the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Keyport, Wash. Work will be performed in Keyport, Wash. (97%), Hawthorne, Nev. (2.7%), and Manassas, Va. (.3%), and is expected to be completed by February 1999. AIR FORCE

Holmes and Narver, Inc., Orange, Calif., is being awarded a $14,140,331 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for construction of 84 units and demolition of 78 units of military family housing at Grand Forks AFB, N.D. The work will be performed at Grand Forks AFB, N.D. Contract is expected to be completed April 2000. There were 98 firms solicited and 4 proposals received. Solicitation began October 1997; negotiations were completed December 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Air Force Center for Environmental Excellence, Brooks AFB, Texas, is the contracting activity (F41622-98/C-0007).

Boeing North American, Inc., Ft. Walton Beach, Fla., is being awarded a $22,763,505 face value increase to a cost-plus-award-fee contract to provide for Interim Contractor Support from March 1998 through March 1999 for the AC-130U aircraft. the work will be performed at Hurlburt Field, Fla. (90%) and at various other locations. Contract is expected to be completed March 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio is the contracting activity (F336547-94/D-0047).

Hughes Training, Binghamton, N.Y., is being awarded an $11,700,000 face value increase to a cost-plus-award-fee contract to provide for concurrency upgrades to 61 Aircrew Training Devices (ATD) in support of the B-2 aircraft. These upgrades will modify the ATDs to

reflect updates made to the aircraft. The work will be performed at Whiteman AFB, Mo. (80%), and at various other locations. Contract is expected to be completed February 1999.
