ARMY

Olin Corporation, Winchester Division, Independence, Mo., was awarded on March 3, 1998, a $24,050,249 modification to a cost-plus-award-fee contract for operation & maintenance of a government-owned-contractor-operated (GOCO) facility and production of small caliber ammunition, E.G., 7.62mm, 5.56mm. cal .50 to support the troops in the field, and a settlement claim. Work will be performed in Independence, Mo., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract solicited on Jan. 30, 1997. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Armament, Munitions, and Chemical Command, Rock Island, Ill. (DAAA09-91-Z-0009).

PRC, Incorporation Engineering Technology Group was awarded on March 3, 1998, a $7,320,748 increment as part of a $12,802,776 (If all options are exercised base year and four years option ) cost-plus-fixed-fee-term contract for a research and development effort entitled, "DARPA Information Systems Office (ISO) SETA Support, to plan, direct and manage programs across a wide scope of the information sciences. This includes sensors, simulation, information exploitation, dissemination, C2/planning and tasking of battlefield assets. This effort is being sponsored by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). Work will be performed in McLean, Va., and is expected to be completed by April 1, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 77 bids solicited on Sept. 29, 1997, and 4 bids received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala. (DAAH01-98-C-R092).

Centennial Contractors Enterprise, Inc., Vienna, Va., is being awarded an increment (appropriation number and dollar value will be issued with each delivery order) as part of a $30,000,000 cumulative total indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract for a broad range of maintenance, repair and minor construction at the United States Military Academy. The contractor is required to furnish all materials, equipment and personnel necessary to accomplish the work. Work will vary in size and complexity and will include tasks in a variety of trades to include carpentry, excavating, interior and exterior electrical, plumbing, painting and concrete masonry. Work will be performed in West Point, N.Y., and is expected to be completed by Jan. 31, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 83 bids solicited on June 10, 1997, and 12 bids received. The contracting activity is the United States Military Academy, N.Y. (DAAG60-98-D-0004).

CIVILS WORKS - NON MILITARY

University of New Orleans Department of Geology and Geophysics, New Orleans, being awarded indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract with a cumulative total of $5,305,851 (if all options are exercised base year and four years option) for monitoring of habitats created through the placement of dredged material (this base year amount will be $969,126.46). Work will be performed in New Orleans, La., and is expected to be completed by March 3, 2003. There were 25 bids solicited on Sept. 5, 1997, and two bids received. The contracting activity is the United States Army Corps Engineers, New Orleans, La. (DAWC29-98-0008).

DEFENSE COMMISSARY AGENCY

National Beef Packing Company of Kansas City, Mo., is being awarded a $49,935,357 firm-fixed-price (with special factor added to weekly market price), indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity to provide fresh beef products to DeCA commissaries. Work will be performed at Liberal, Kan., with delivery to multiple commissary sites throughout DeCA's Western/Pacific Region, to include Hawaii. Performance under this contract is expected to be completed by March 19, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Thirty-five firms were solicited and seven offers were received. The contracting activity is the Defense Commissary Agency, Hopewell, Va. (DeCA02-98-D-0014).

NAVY

  • Bell Helicopter Textron, Inc., Fort Worth, Texas, is being awarded an $11,229,035 modification to previously awarded contract N00019-96-C-0128 to develop a cockpit for the UH-1N helicopter as part of the upgrade program. Work will be performed in Fort Worth, Texas, and is expected to be completed by September 2003. Contract funds will not expire
