Lockheed Martin Corp., Lockheed Martin Information Systems, Orlando, Fla., is being awarded a $6,280,786 cost-plus-award-fee delivery order against an existing indefinite-quantity contract to conduct the AC-130U Aircrew Maintenance Training Device and Testbed Mini-Fas Proof of Principle effort for the U.S. Special Operations Command. Work will be performed in Orlando, Fla. (95%) and Hurlburt Field, Fla. (5%), and is expected to be completed by April 1999. Contract funds in the amount of $120,969 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The basic contract was competitively procured with 125 proposals solicited and two offers received. The Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division, Orlando, Fla., is the contracting activity (N61339-96-D-0002).


Lamb Engineering and Construction Company,* Salt Lake City, Utah, was awarded on March 17, 1998 a $7,469,972 seal bid firm-fixed-price contract for modification of existing ammunition storage magazines at Camp Navajo, Bellemont, Ariz., for the storage of the U.S. Nay's Trident rocket motors. The work consists of providing modification of 28 earth covered magazines, including the provision of a new lager motorized blast door, hew headwall, waterproofing and insulation, replacing earth cover, lightning protection, power, grounding, new mechanical equipment room, new apron, and extension of the existing primary electrical distribution services to the magazines requiring modification. Work will be performed in Camp Navajo, Bellemont Ariz., and is expected to be completed by Oct. 2, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 39 bids solicited on Oct. 7, 1997, and 8 bids received. The contracting activity is the USPFO for Ariz. (DAHA02-98-C-0001).
