DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Phoenix Fuel Company, Inc.*, Phoenix, Ariz., is being awarded a $6,321,909 fixed-price-with-economic-price-adjustment contract for DL1 diesel fuel, DL2 diesel fuel, LS2 diesel fuel, HS2 diesel fuel, regular unleaded gasoline and FS2 #2 fuel oil. Two hundred forty-eight proposals were solicited and sixty-one were received. Work will be performed at various locations in New Mexico and is expected to be completed by March 31, 2001. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Energy Supply Center, Fort Belvoir, Va., is the contracting activity (SPO600- 98-D-4541).

ARMY

Oshkosh Truck Corp., Oshkosh, Wis., is being awarded a $32,601,296 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract for 97 (M984A1) Heavy Equipment Mobility Tactical Truck Vehicles, and 20 (M978) tankers without winches, for Saudi Arabia. Work will be performed in Oshkosh, Wis., and is expected to be completed by March 30, 1999. Of the total contract funds, $291,265 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on June 26, 1995. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Tank-automotive & Armaments Command, Warren, Mich. (DAAE07-95-C-X057).

IT Corp., Knoxville, Tenn., is being awarded a $5,015,463 task order amount as part of a cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract, for environmental remediation of the sanitary landfill, Cell No. 2. Work will be performed at Ft. George G. Meade, Md., and is expected to be completed by April 28, 1999. This is a sole source contract initiated on Sept. 27, 1997. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore, Md. (DACA45-97-D-0012).

Sikorsky Aircraft Corp., Stratford, Conn., is being awarded a $55,101,606 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract, to exercise the option for 10 (FY98) UH-60L Black Hawk helicopters, and one UH-60L MEDEVAC Mission Kit. Work will be performed in Stratford, Conn., and is expected to be completed by June 30, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the

end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Oct. 17, 1995. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala. (DAAJ09-97-C-0005).

NAVY

  • Lockheed Martin Fairchild Systems, Syosset, N.Y., is being issued a $9,480,000 ceiling priced order for 32 Interim Support Item List materials, including an axis gyro assembly and three air cycling machines, necessary to support deployment of the F/A-18 Advanced Tactical Reconnaissance System (TAC RECCE). Work will be performed in Syosset, N.Y. (90%), and Schlumberger, France (10%), and is expected to be completed by March 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured.

General Electric Aircraft Engines, Lynn, Mass., is being awarded an $8,036,499 ceiling priced basic ordering agreement for 2,300 turbine nozzle segments used on the F-404 engines on the F/A-18 aircraft. Work will be performed in Lynn, Mass., and is expected to be completed by December 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Inventory Control Point, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (F34601-97-G-0002)(Order GEG5).

General Electric Aircraft Engines, Lynn, Mass., is being awarded a $6,818,854 ceiling priced basic ordering agreement for 146 Stage 3 turbine nozzles used on the T-58 engines on the H-46 helicopter. Work will be performed in Lynn, Mass., and is expected to be completed by December 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Inventory Control Point, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (F34601-97-G-0002)(Order GEG6).
