ARMY

Hunt Building Corp., El Paso, Texas, is being awarded a $20,479,955 firm-fixed-price contract to replace family housing units in Area U at Schofield Barracks. The project includes design and construction of 132 one or two-story multi-family housing units. The units will include garages and patios, kitchen ranges, refrigerators, washers, dryers, garbage disposals, dishwashers and hard-wired interconnected smoke detectors, etc. Supporting facilities include underground utilities and information systems, road improvements and street lights, paving, walks, curbs, gutters, neighborhood park and landscaping. At least 5% of the units shall be handicapped accessible/modifiable. Work also includes demolition of 132 junior enlisted family quarters, removal and disposal of lead based paint and asbestos containing materials, testing, and cleanup incidental to the repair work. Work will be performed at Schofield Barracks, Oahu, Hawaii, and is expected to be completed by Nov. 29, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 59 bids solicited on Aug. 15, 1997, and seven bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Honolulu, Hawaii (DACA83-98-C-0009).

Raytheon Co., Electronic Systems Division, Bedford, Mass., is being awarded a $13,148,069 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract for PATRIOT SWEEP V Mod Kits and concurrent spares for the United States, The Netherlands, Kuwait, and Israel. Work will be performed in Tewksbury, Mass., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source letter contract initiated on May 16, 1997. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala. (DAAH01-96-C-0114).

DARPA

Northrop Grumman Corp., Electronic Sensors & Systems Division, Space Systems, Baltimore, Md., is being awarded a $17,195,160 increment of an $18,795,796 modification to a $33,774,124 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to serve as system integrator for the Baseline Upgrade and Enhanced Phase of the Semi-Automated IMINT Processing (SAIP) Program, providing

maintenance of baseline system specification; development of enhanced system specifications; control and revision of design description documents; and coordination of integration testing, military exercises, and demonstrations. Work will be performed in Baltimore, Md. (92.8%); Norwalk, Conn. (3.7%); and Herndon, Va. (3.5%), and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Feb. 27, 1998. The contracting activity is the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, Arlington, Va. (MDA972-96-C-0005).

AIR FORCE

Andersen Consulting, Chicago, Ill., was awarded on March 25, a $6,821,255 cost-plus-award-fee contract to provide for operation, maintenance, and sustainment support from March through June 1998 for the Integrated Maintenance Data Systems Reliability and Maintainability Information System application software. The work will be performed at Litton PRC, Dayton, Ohio. The work is expected to be completed November 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Electronic Systems Center, Hanscom AFB, Mass., is the contracting activity (F19628-96/C-0127, P00016).

Gulfstream Aerospace Corp., Savannah, Ga., is being awarded a $32,772,610 face value increase to a firm-fixed-price contract to provide for one C-37A aircraft and associated training and data. The work is expected to be completed December 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-96/C-0037, P00007).

SCI Technology, Inc., Hunstville, Ala., is being awarded a $6,284,584 face value increase to a firm-fixed-price contract to provide for 176 3A Receivers applicable to the NAVSTAR Global Positioning System and associated engineering services, in support of the F-15, F-16 and E-3 aircraft. The work is expected to be completed March 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Warner Robins Air Logistics Center, Robins AFB, Ga., is the contracting activity (F09603-97/C-0419, P00004).

NAVY

  • Northrop Grumman, Bethpage, N.Y., is being awarded a $144,200,131 cost-plus-incentive-fee/award-fee contract for the engineering and manufacturing development of the
  • EA-6B Improved Capabilities III (ICAP III) Warfighter Upgrade System. Work will be performed in College Park, Md. (29%), Bethpage, N.Y. (28%), St. Augustine, Fla. (18%), Hollywood, Md. (13.5%), and Nashua, N.H. (11.5%), and is expected to be completed by January 2004. Contract funds in the amount of $19,500,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured by a request for proposals with two offers received. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00019-98-C-0062).

Alliant Techsystems, Inc., Rocket Center, West Va., is being awarded a $22,000,000 cost, no fee contract for the FY 98 Facility Restoration Program at the Allegany Ballistics Laboratory in Rocket Center, W. Va. Work will be performed in Rocket Center, W. Va., and is expected to be completed by September 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (N00024-98-E-8125).

Raytheon TI Systems Inc., Advanced Program Division, Plano, Texas, is being awarded a $7,878,645 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for an Integrated Search and Track (IRST) Eyesafe Laser Range Finder (ELRF). Work will be performed in Plano, Texas, and is expected to be completed by March 2000. Contract funds in the amount of $2,700,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured through a Broad Agency Announcement and three offers were received. The Office of Naval Research, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (N00014-98-C-0105).
