ARMY

ACC Construction Co. Inc., Augusta, Ga., is being awarded a $17,239,797 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of a standard design barracks complex with a soldier community building which includes storage, dayroom and laundry facilities, with an area of 1,214 sq. meters. The project includes living/sleeping rooms (total includes 8,384 sq. meters), private baths, and closets. Supporting facilities include utilities; an energy monitoring and control system; connection to a central energy plant; fire protection; paving, walks, curb and gutters, parking; storm drainage; sanitary sewer; water distribution system; information systems; and landscaping. Work will be performed at Fort Gordon, Ga., and is expected to be completed by July 31, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 124 bids solicited on Jan. 13, 1998, and eight bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah, Ga. (DACA21-98-C-0031).

Raytheon TI Systems, McKinney, Texas, is being awarded a $49,431,497 firm-fixed-price and cost-plus-award-fee contract for Tube-Launched Optically-Tracked Wire-Guided (TOW) Improved Target Acquisition System (ITAS) low rate initial production II. Work will be performed in McKinney, Texas, and is expected to be completed by May 31, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Oct. 15, 1997. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala. (DAAH01-96-C-0376).

Raytheon Electronic Systems, Bedford, Mass., is being awarded a $12,884,483 definitization of a letter contract, as part of a $13,059,304 modification to a cost-plus-incentive-fee contract for hardware and services in support of remanufacturing eight HAWK Assault Fire Units. Work will be performed in Bedford, Mass., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Dec. 10, 1996. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala. (DAAH01-97-C-0106).

Carnes Construction Inc., Tucson, Ariz., is being awarded an $18,524,500 firm-fixed-price contract for the demolition of three brick barracks buildings and construction of new barracks buildings (approximately 9,051 sq. meters); a soldier community building (approximately 1,230 sq. meters), and equipment storage. The project also includes expansion of the central heating and cooling plant and supporting facilities such as utilities, laundry and site improvements including recreation features. Work will be performed at Fort Huachuca**, Ariz., and is expected to be completed by May 30, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 75 bids solicited on Feb. 10, 1998, and three bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Los Angeles, Calif. (DACA09-98-C-0023).

Roy F. Weston, West Chester, Pa., is being awarded a $6,904,655 task order amount of a cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract for remedial investigations and a feasibility study. Work will be performed at Letterkenny Army Depot, Pa., and is expected to be completed by March 27, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Jan. 1, 1998. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore, Md. (DACA31-94-D-0063).

AIR FORCE

H & N Constructors, Inc., Louisville, Ky. is being awarded a $6,514,350 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for renovation of 74 units of military family housing at Charleston AFB, S.C. The work will be performed at Charleston AFB, S.C. There were 124 firms solicited and 10 proposals received. Solicitation began February 1998; negotiations were completed March 1998. The work is expected to be completed November 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The 437th Contracting Squadron, Charleston AFB, S.C. is the contracting activity (F38610-98/C-0004).

Roxco Limited, Brandon, Miss., is being awarded an $8,893,235 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for construction of 50 units of military family housing at MacDill AFB, Fla. There were 93 firms solicited and 4 proposals received. Solicitation began February 1998; negotiations were completed March 1998. The work is expected to be completed October 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. MacDill AFB, Fla., is the contracting activity (F08602-98/CK006).

Raytheon Co., Goleta, Calif., is being awarded a $5,037,400 face value increase to a firm-fixed-price contract to provide for 50 launchers, 150 magazines, and associated warranty applicable to the AN/ALE50(V) countermeasures system on the B-1 aircraft The work is expected to be completed January 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-96/C-0036, P00004).

NAVY

Bell-Boeing Joint Program Office, Patuxent River, Md., is being awarded a $418,741,241 modification to previously awarded contract N00019-96-C-0054 to exercise as option for the manufacture and delivery of five MV-22 low-rate-initial-production aircraft. Work will be performed in Ridley Park, Pa. (50%), and Ft. Worth, Texas (50%), and is expected to be completed in November 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

Bell-Boeing Joint Program Office, Patuxent River, Md., is being awarded a $59,273,596 modification to previously awarded contract N00019-96-C-0054 to procure long lead items and materials associated with the manufacture and delivery of seven FY 99 MV-22 low-rate-initial-production aircraft. Work will be performed in Ridley Park, Pa. (50%), and Ft. Worth, Texas (50%), and is expected to be completed in October 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

McDonnell Douglas Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary of the Boeing Company, St. Louis, Mo., is being awarded a $36,868,773 cost-plus-award-fee/incentive-fee contract for the engineering and manufacturing development including design, development, test and integration of the Advanced Targeting Forward Looking Infrared (ATFLIR) into the F/A-18 aircraft weapons system. Work will be performed in El Segundo, Calif. (57%), and St. Louis, Miss. (43%), and is expected to be completed by September 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. Lockheed Martin Corp., Tactical Aircraft Systems, Ft. Worth, Texas, is being awarded a $28,744,813 modification to previously awarded contract N00019-97-C-0038 for the Integrated Core Processing Technology Demonstration effort for the Joint Strike Fighter Program. Work will be performed in Ft. Worth, Texas (50%); Dallas, Texas (24%); Eagan, Minn. (15%); and Nashua, N.H. (11%), and is expected to be completed in June 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

General Electric Aircraft Engines, Lynn, Mass., is being awarded a $6,600,000 modification to previously awarded contract N00019-96-C-0080 for a training engine; integrated logistic support; and a full authority digital electronic control installation to the manned simulator. Work will be performed in Lynn, Mass. (58%); Evendale, Ohio (25%); Rutland, Vt. (4%); Albuquerque, N.M. (4%); Hooksett, N.H. (3%); Madisonville, Ky. (4%); and Wilmington, N.C. Lockheed Martin Corp., Tactical Aircraft Systems, Ft. Worth, Texas, is being awarded a $6,138,388 modification to previously awarded contract N00019-97-C-0038 for the Air Vehicle Prognostics and Health Manager and the Joint Distributed Information System Demonstration Phase Technology Maturation efforts for the Joint Strike Fighter Program. Work will be performed in Pico Rivera, Calif. (24%); Orlando, Fla. (24%); Ft. Worth, Texas (20%); Palmdale, Calif. (15%); and the United Kingdom (17%), and is expected to be completed in February 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year.
