DEFENSE COMMISSARY AGENCY

IBP, Inc., Dakota City, Neb., is being awarded a $41,671,320 indefinite-delivery/ indefinite-quantity contract to provide fresh beef products for resale in the commissary stores located in DeCA's Southern Area, Eastern Region. Work will be performed at Joselin, Ill., with deliveries of beef products to DeCA's Southern Area, Eastern Region commissaries and is expected to be completed by April 30, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 17 bids solicited and five bids received. The contracting activity is the Defense Commissary Agency, Hopewell, Va. (DeCA02-98-D-0033).

AIR FORCE

Lockheed Martin Corp., Ft. Worth, Texas, is being awarded a $122,350,000 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for eight F-16 aircraft, alternate mission equipment, and ferry preparation. The work is expected to be completed October 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There was one firm solicited and one proposal received. Solicitation began February 1998; negotiations were completed April 1998. This effort supports foreign military sales to Bahrain. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-98/C-2007).

Lockheed Martin Western Development Laboratories, San Jose, Calif., is being awarded a $28,302,209 face value increase to a cost-plus-award-fee contract to provide for hardware and software modifications to replace the Air Force Satellite Communications Network (AFSCN) Operational Traffic Switching System with the Operational Switch Replacement. This upgrade will allow the AFSCN to switch faster and connect more directly between satellites and tracking stations. The work is expected to be completed April 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Space and Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles Air Force Base, Calif., is the contracting activity (F04701-96/C-0018, P00023).

ARMY

General Dynamics Land Systems, Sterling Heights, Mich., was awarded on March 10, 1998, a $13,688,7378 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract for 1,998 driver's hatch interlock kits for M1A1 Abrams Tank. Work will be performed in Imperial Valley, Calif. (55%); Scranton, Pa. (6.5%); Tallahassee, Fla. (35.9%); and Sterling Heights, Mich. (2.6%), and is expected to be completed by July 31, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract solicited on Jan 28, 1997. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Armament, Munitions, and Chemical Command, Rock Island, Ill. (DAA09-93-G-0001).

Sikorsky Aircraft Corp., Stratfort, Conn., is being awarded a $10,839,971 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract for definitization of modification P00014 which incorporated Israel "unique" configuration/specification changes to 15 "vanilla" aircraft. Also included in this modification is the addition of logistical and technical support for this effort. Work will be performed in Stratford, Conn., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract solicited on Feb. 26, 1998. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Armament, Munitions, and Chemical Command, Rock Island, Ill. (DAA09-97-C-0005).

California Microwave-Airborne Systems Integration Division, Belcamp, Md., is being awarded a cost-plus-fixed-fee, cost-plus-award-fee and firm-fixed-fee contract for completion of the aircraft modification of two (2) ARL-M planes. Work will be performed in Belcamp, Md., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2001. Contracts funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 10 bids solicited on Jan. 30, 1990, and three bids received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Communications and Electronics Command, Warrenton, Va. (DAAB10-90-C-7068).

Bayley Seton Hospital, Staten Island, N.Y., is being awarded a $650,000 firm-fixed-price contract with a $277,876,000 cumulative total for provision by the designated provider, of comprehensive health care services and associated support services for persons eligible to enroll under the Uniformed Services treatment Facility Managed Care Plan. Work will be performed in New York City, N.Y., and is expected to be completed by May 31, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Nov. 21, 1996. The contracting activity is the Defense Supply Service, Washington, D.C. (DASW01-98-C-0036).

United Defense Limited Partnership, York, Pa., is being awarded a $33,165,873 firm-fixed-price contract for 10 heavy equipment recovery combat utility lift and evacuation system (HERCULES). Work will be performed in York, Pa., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Nov. 4, 1997. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command, Warren, Mich. (DAAE07-94-C-0429).
