ARMY

Lockheed-Martin Corp., C2 Integration Systems, Manassas, Va., was awarded on May 1, 1998, a $2,794,003 increment as part of a $16,874,889 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for a joint logistics advanced concept technology demonstration, for the development of technologies to enhance the readiness of our military forces through a quantum improvement in military logistics. Work will be performed in Manassas, Va., and is expected to be completed by May 5, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There was a broad agency announcement on July 3, 1997, and 26 bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Training & Doctrine Command, Fort Huachuca, Ariz. (DABT63-98-C-0011).

ICF Kaiser Engineers Inc., Fairfax, Va., is being awarded a $6,933,319 increment of a $9,945,206 modification to a cost-plus-fixed-fee task order, awarded against an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract. The project involves environmental remediation of contamination in soil at Ashland 2 in the Town of Tonawanda, N.Y., under the Formerly Used Sites Remedial Action Program (FUSRAP). Work will be performed in the Town of Tonawanda, N.Y., and is expected to be completed by Oct. 31, 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on March 9, 1998. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore, Md. (DACA31-95-D-0083).

General Dynamics Land Systems, Warren, Mich., is being awarded a $9,092,293 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for various spares in support of fielding of the System Enhancement Package (SEP) of the M1A2 upgrade tank. Work will be performed in Tallahassee, Fla. (75%); Lima, Ohio (10%); Imperial Valley, Calif. (10%); and Scranton, Ohio (5%), and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Dec. 8, 1997. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Tank-automotive & Armaments Command, Rock Island, Ill. (DAAE20-97-G-0002/0008).

AIR FORCE

Raytheon E-Systems, Waco, Texas, was awarded on May 1, 1998, a $6,728,308 face value increase to a firm-fixed-price contract to provide for 53 Class IVB Modification Kits to upgrade the All Weather Landing System and Autopilot system on the C-130 and C-141 aircraft. These kits will install a digital Automatic Flight Control System, a Control Display System, and a Ground Collision Avoidance System. Warner Robins Air Logistics Center, Robins AFB, Ga., is the contracting activity (F09603-93-C-0322-P00055).

Flight Safety Services Corp., Englewood, Colo., was awarded on May 1, 1998, a $7,047,464 face value increase to a firm-fixed-price contract to provide for three Global Positioning System Enhanced Navigation systems applicable to the Aircrew Training System in support of the C-141 aircraft. Expected completion date is October 2000. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Paterson AFB, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-95-C-0048, P00025).

Raytheon St. Petersburg, St. Petersburg, Fla., is being awarded a $48,000,000 firm-fixed-price and time-and-materials or labor-hour contract to provide for 447 (best estimated quantity) Airborne Integrated Terminal Groups applicable to the MILSATCOM communication system. Each terminal group consists of an Airborne Integrated Terminal, a Remote Control Unit, a mounting/cooling assembly tray, and a Low Noise amplifier. Sixteen firms were solicited, 3 proposals submitted. Estimated completion date is September 2003; Solicitation completed 28 October 1997; Negotiations Completed 13 April 1998. Electronic Systems Center, Hanscom AFB, Mass., is the contracting activity (F19628-98-C-0046).
