ARMY

Ilex Systems Inc., Moorestown, N.J., is being awarded a modification (option year two) to a time and materials, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity, with award fee contract. An appropriation number and dollar value will be issued with each delivery order, and the modification is not-to-exceed $18,033,849. The option extends the contract from May 30, 1998 to May 30, 1999 for Life Cycle Software Engineering support for the U.S. Army Communications & Electronics Command Software Engineering Center. Work will be performed at Ft. Huachuca, Arizona (60%), and Ft. Monmouth, New Jersey (40%), and is expected to be completed by May 30, 2001. There were 17 bids solicited on Aug. 3, 1995, and three bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Communications & Electronics Command, Ft. Monmouth, N.J. (DAAB07-96-D-H510).

AIR FORCE

Boeing North American, Inc., Canoga Park, Calif., was awarded on May 8, 1998 a $6,029,839 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to provide for the Advanced Laser Devices and Effects Research (ALDER) program. This effort involves the preliminary design, limited fabrication, installation, modification, operation and maintenance of laser devices, laser systems, and test equipment applicable thereto. There were 32 firms were solicited and 3 proposals received. Expected contract completion date is August 2000. Solicitation issue date was December 1997; negotiation completion date was March 1998. Air Force Research Laboratory, Kirtland AFB, N.M., is the contracting activity (F29601-98-C-0176)

Raytheon TI Systems, Inc., McKinney, Texas, is being awarded a $9,171,704 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for the following components applicable to the GBU-28A/B Paveway III Laser Guided Weapon: 72 WGU-36A/B Guidance Control Units, 72 BSU-92A/B Bomb Stabilization Units Air Foil Groups, 72 Conduit Assemblies, associated data and engineering support. There was 1 firm solicited and 1 proposal received. Expected contract completion date is January 2000. Ogden Air Logistics Center, Hill AFB, Utah, is the contracting activity (F42630-98-C-0049)

Honeywell, Inc., Clearwater, Fla., is being awarded a $20,586,000 face value increase to a firm-fixed-price contract to provide for 282 Embedded Global Positioning System/Inertial Navigation System (EGI) units, 282 synchronization cards, and associated warranties in support of the F-16 aircraft. Expected contract completion date is April 2000. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-93-C-0002, P00137).

NAVY

Northrop Grumman Corporation, Bethpage, N.Y., is being awarded a $248,000,000 advanced acquisition contract for long lead items for one FY 98 E-2C aircraft and three FY 99 E-2C aircraft. Work will be performed in St. Augustine, Fla. (75%), Bethpage, N.Y. (24%), and Milledgeville, Ga. (1%), and is expected to be completed in May 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00019-97-C-0147).
