DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Sterlingwear of Boston*, East Boston, Mass., is being awarded a $5,157,163 firm-fixed-price contract of indefinite quantity to provide men's and women's overcoats (Melton blue peacoat). There was one bid solicited and one bid was received. Contract will be completed by May 1999. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. Defense Supply Center, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SP0100-97-R-0045).

DEFENSE COMMISSARY AGENCY

Envision, Wichita, Kan., is being awarded a $9,912,328 indefinite delivery, requirements type contract for plastic bags. Work will be performed at Wichita, KS, with delivery to multiple sites throughout DeCA's Midwest and Western/Pacific commissaries including Alaska and Hawaii of the United States and is expected to be completed by April 30, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. One firm was solicited and one offer was received. Defense Commissary Agency, Fort Lee, Va., is the contracting activity (DeCA01-98-D-0006).

ARMY

Lockheed Martin Corp., Vought Systems Division, Dallas, Texas, is being awarded a $90,025,614 modification to a $104,229,373 firm-fixed-price contract for the first year of full rate production of 100 each, and a supplemental quantity of 79 each, Block IA Army Tactical Missile System (ARMY TACMS) guided missile and launching assemblies. Work will be performed in Dallas, Texas, and is expected to be completed by Feb. 15, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on May 7, 1997. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala. (DAAH01-98-C-0093).

The Boeing Co., Rotorcraft Division, Philadelphia, Pa., is being awarded a $13,900,000 increment (base year total), as part of a $76,056,288 (total if all options are exercised) cost-plus-incentive-fee contract for the purchase of two improved cargo helicopters (UH-47 Chinook).

Work will be performed in Philadelphia**, Pa., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Oct. 15, 1997. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala. (DAAH23-98-C-0069).

AIR FORCE

Lockheed Martin Corp., Fort Worth, Texas is being awarded a $26,920,000 face value increase to a letter-contract to provide for two F-16 aircraft, Alternate Mission Equipment, and ferry preparation. This effort supports foreign military sales to Bahrain. Expected contract completion date is October 2000. Solicitation issue date was February 10, 1998. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-98-2007 P00001)

General Electric Corp., Cincinnati, Ohio, is being awarded an $11,840,000 firm-fixed-price-contract to provide for 160 fan blade modification kits applicable to the F101 engine on the B-1 aircraft. There were six firms solicited, and one proposal received. Expected contract completion date is April 2001. Solicitation issue date was October 28, 1997. Negotiation completion date was April 28, 1998. Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center, Tinker AFB, Okla., is the contracting activity (F34601-97-G-0002-0181)

US West Communications Inc., Seattle, Wash., is being awarded a $5,817,032 firm-fixed-price-contract to provide for local telephone service for business lines at Davis-Monthan AFB, Ariz., from May 15, 1998 through May 15, 2003. There were eight firms solicited and one proposal received. Expected contract completion date is May 2003. Solicitation issue date was February 11, 1998. Negotiation completion date was April 20, 1998. 38th Engineering Installation Wing, Tinker AFB, Okla., is the contracting activity (F34608-98-H-5015/0001).

NAVY

Tracor Systems Technologies, Inc., Kings Bay, Ga., is being awarded a $9,709,812 cost-plus-fixed-fee level of effort contract to provide engineering services and systems integration support to strategic systems programs associated with the development and construction of United Kingdom SSBNs with TRIDENT missile capability and in service Vanguard Class TRIDENT II D5 Strategic Weapon System. Work will be performed in Kings Bay, Ga., and is expected to be completed in March 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Navy's Strategic Systems Programs, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (N00030-98-C-0046).
