DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Sysco Food Services (Seattle Division), Kent, Wash., is being awarded a $10,488,600 firm-fixed-price contract for full-line food service. Forty-seven proposals were solicited and four were received. Work is expected to be completed by August 9, 1999. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SP0300-98-D-2958).

ARMY

PRIMEX Technologies Inc., Marion, Ill., is being awarded a $20,642,452 firm-fixed-price contract for M793 TP-T and M910 TPDS-T which are 25 mm ammunition for the Bradley Fighting Vehicle. Work will be performed in Marion, Ill., and is expected to be completed by June 30, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were two bids solicited on April 15, 1998, and two bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Armament, Munitions and Chemical Command, Rock Island, Ill. (DAAA09-98-C-0048).

Bill Harbert Construction Co., Birmingham, Ala., is being awarded an $8,771,800 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of an addition to the Command and Control Facility. Work will be performed at MacDill Air Force Base, Fla., and is expected to be completed by Aug. 30, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 127 bids solicited on May 5, 1998, and six bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile, Ala. (DACA01-98-C-0047).

PRIMEX Technologies Inc., Marion, Ill., is being awarded a $10,966,503 firm-fixed-price contract for 1,011,670 each LW30 mm, M788 TP cartridges in support of the Apache and Black Hawk helicopters. Work will be performed in Marion, Ill., and is expected to be completed by Jan. 10, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were two bids solicited on April 17, 1998, and two bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Armament, Munitions and Chemical Command, Rock Island, Ill. (DAAA09-98-C-0050).

Hunt Building Corp., El Paso, Texas, is being awarded a $7,250,001 firm-fixed-price contract for demolition of 60 single family housing units, which includes asbestos and lead base paint abatement, along with site restoration and the construction of 60 three-bedroom units. The design includes passive solar features, heating by natural gas, cooling by evaporative coolers, energy efficient lighting, dual-pane energy efficient windows, hard wired smoke detectors, ground fault receptacles, landscaping, garages, driveways, street lighting, utility services and meters, storm drainage, and walks. Work will be performed at Fort Huachuca, Ariz., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 85 bids solicited on Feb. 19, 1998, and four bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento, Calif. (DACA05-98-C-0042).

NAVY

Falon Inc., San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a $6,095,722 indefinite-delivery, cost-plus-fixed-fee pricing contract for research and development engineering services and hardware development for navigation warfare surveillance systems. This contract contains options which, if exercised, will bring the total cumulative value of the contract to $10,753,920. Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif., and is expected to be completed in June 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 20 proposals solicited and one offer received. The contracting activity is the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, San Diego, Calif. (N66001-98-D-0024).
