BALLISTIC MISSILE DEFENSE ORGANIZATION

Nichols Research Corporation of Huntsville, Ala. is being awarded a $17,900,000 cost-plus-fixed-fee indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract for systems engineering and technical assistance in the areas of sensor technology, prototype elements, systems and subsystems, and experimentation efforts for sensor technology developments. Work will be performed at Arlington, Va., El Segundo, Calif. and Albuquerque, N.M. and is expected to be completed in July 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Thirty-three offerors were solicited and two proposals were received. The Ballistic Missile Defense Organization, is the contracting activity (HQ0006-98-C-0010).

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

MDV/Nash Finch, Norfolk, Va., is being awarded a $6,000,000 firm-fixed-price indefinite-quantity contract for full line food distribution under the Prime Vendor program. Fifty-eight proposals were solicited and nine were received. Work is expected to be completed by July 21, 1999. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SP0300-98-D-2961).

Amoco Energy Trading Corp., Newport Beach, Calif., is being awarded $13,741,953 fixed-price-with-economic-price-adjustment contract for direct supply natural gas. Five hundred twenty-seven proposals were solicited and four were received. Work will be performed in San Francisco, Calif., and Los Angeles, Calif., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 1999. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Energy Support Center, Fort Belvoir, Va., is the contracting activity (SP0600-98-D-7542).

Premier Enterprises, LLC*, Englewood, Colo., was awarded on July 21, 1998, a $5,722,400 fixed-price-with-economic-price-adjustment contract for direct supply natural gas. Five hundred twenty-seven proposals were solicited and forty-six were received. Work will be performed in Commerce City, Colo.; Aurora, Colo.; Denver, Colo.; Golden, Colo.; Charleston, S.C.; Panama City, Fla.; and Jacksonville, Fla., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 1999. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Energy Support Center, Fort Belvoir, Va., is the contracting activity (SP0600-98-D-7523).

AIR FORCE

Lockheed Martin Corp., Orlando, Fla., is being awarded an $18,000,000 face value increase to a firm-fixed-price-contract to provide for support equipment required by one base in support of the Low Altitude Navigation Targeting Infrared for Night (LANTIRN) system on the F-16 aircraft. This effort supports foreign military sales to Egypt. Expected contract completion date is December 1999. Solicitation issue date was April 23, 1998. Negotiation completion date was November 18, 1998. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-95-C-2031-P00019).

AT&T Communications Services, Greensboro, N.C., is being awarded an $11,500,000 face value increase to a firm-fixed-price-contract to provide equitable adjustment for extended rock clearance associated with installation of the Peace Shield Communication System. This effort supports foreign military sales to Saudi Arabia. Electronic Systems Center, Hanscom AFB, Mass., is the contracting activity, (F19628-96-C-0044, P00001).

Alliant Techsystems Inc., Janesville, Wis., is being awarded a $7,275,864 firm-fixed-price-contract to provide for 5,152 DSU-33B/B proximity sensors applicable to the Joint Direct Attack Munition and various general purpose bombs. There were 12 firms solicited and 4 proposals received. Expected contract completion date is September, 2000. Solicitation issue date was March 17, 1998. Aeronautical Systems Center, Eglin AFB, Fla., is the contracting activity (F08626-98-C-0001).

NAVY

Armstrong Data Services, Inc., Brea, Calif., is being awarded a $14,996,355 cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for landing craft air cushion (LCAC) support as well as various amphibious warfare, expeditionary warfare and special warfare programs. Work will be performed primarily in Vienna, Va. (50%), and Panama City, Fla. (50%), and is expected to be completed by July 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 52 proposals solicited and two offers received. The Coastal Systems Station, Dahlgren Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Panama City, Fla., is the contracting activity (N61331-98-D-0033).

Tracor Systems Technologies Inc, Rockville, Md., is being awarded a $5,092,783 cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for engineering and technical support services for mobile tactical systems, joint combat system, ground theater air control systems and related special programs and projects. This support includes the design, development, installation, integration, documentation, repair, restoration and testing of individual and joint service mobile tactical systems, command, control, computers, communications, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance systems and special program systems. Support includes ensuring the subject systems are properly designed, tested and installed as stand-alone systems or integrated into a host platform, such as ship, van, shore site, shelter, or other platform. The contract contains four one-year options which, if exercised, will bring total the cumulative value of the contract to $25,971,319. Work will be performed primarily in San Diego, Calif., and is expected to be completed by July 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 105 proposals solicited and six offers received. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity (N66001-98-D-5062).
