DEFENSE COMMISSARY AGENCY

IBP, Inc., of Dakota City, Nebraska is being awarded a $28,535,369 firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity to provide fresh beef products to DeCA commissaries. Work will be performed at Joslin, Illinois with delivery to multiple commissary sites throughout DeCA's Southern Area, Eastern Region. Performance under this contract is expected to be completed by September 30, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Sixteen firms were solicited and five offers were received. The Defense Commissary Agency, Hopewell, Va., is the contracting activity (DeCA02-98-D-0040).

National Beef Packing Company, of Kansas City, Missouri is being awarded a $15,435,922 firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity to provide fresh beef products to DeCA commissaries. Work will be performed at Liberal, Kansas with delivery to multiple commissary sites throughout DeCA's Southern Area, Eastern Region. Performance under this contract is expected to be completed by September 30, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Sixteen firms were solicited and five offers were received. The Defense Commissary Agency, Hopewell, Va., is the contracting activity (DeCA02-98-D-0039).

ARMY

Universal Construction Co. Inc., Huntsville, Ala., is being awarded a $7,907,474 increment as part of a $9,438,121 firm-fixed-price contract to design/build a Software Development and Maintenance Facility. Work will be performed at Maxwell Air Force Base, Ala., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 23, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 99 bids solicited on Aug. 11, 1998, and six bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile, Ala. (DACA01-98-C-0063).

Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Co., Oak Brook, Ill., is being awarded a $10,000 increment as part of a $10,893,000 firm-fixed-price contract for removal and satisfactory disposal of all material from the Mississippi River Gulf Outlet within the limits of St. Bernard and Plaquemines

Parishes. Work will be performed in Oak Brook, Ill., and is expected to be completed by June 1, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.   • L-3 Communications Corp., Communications Systems East, Camden, N.J., is being awarded a $17,634,520 firm-fixed-price contract for four AN/STC-2(V) integrated interior voice communication systems (IVCS) for DDG 89, 90, 91 and 92 in order to meet fiscal year 1998 program requirements of the Arleigh Burke DDG 51 class Aegis shipbuilding program. The AN/STC-2(V) IVCS is a processor controlled militarized voice communication system that is capable of providing reliable, survivable interior voice communication service in Navy combatant ships. This contract will provide for the construction and delivery of AN/STC-2 IVCS systems and associated terminals & accessories, interim repair parts, maintenance assist modules, and spare parts. This contract contains two options of $14,357,640 and $18,109,040

Applied Technical Systems, Inc., Bremerton, Wash., is being awarded a $7,274,336 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, cost-plus-fixed fee contract for enhancement of maintenance system centers and combat support casualty control systems on board aircraft carriers and other battle group support vessels. exercised, will bring the total cumulative value of the contract to $36,963,422. Work will be performed in Norfolk, Va. (50%), Bremerton, Wash. (25%), and San Diego, Calif. (25%), and the expected completion date is August 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 27 proposals solicited and two offers received. The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Puget Sound, Washington, Regional Contracting Department, Bremerton, Wash., is the contracting activity (N00406-98-D-5152).

Systems and Processes Engineering Corp., Austin, Texas, is being awarded a $6,081,671 cost-plus-incentive-fee contract for the development of the hardened subminiature telemetry and sensor system (HSTSS) data acquisition chip(DAC) set for the U.S. Army Simulation, Training and Instrumentation Command. The HSTSS DAC requirement is for an onboard instrumentation and sensor system that will telemeter accurate data to range ground stations. The system will be used to measure a variety of flight parameters from launch to impact on indirect fire projectiles, small missiles, medium caliber munitions, and direct fire projectiles. Work will be performed in Austin, Texas, and the expected completion date is August 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured electronically and two offers were received. San Diego Gas and Electric Co.* San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a $5,653,000 firm-fixed-price basic ordering agreement contract for direct digital control and energy monitoring control system installation at the Naval Medical Center, San Diego. The total basic ordering agreement amount is not to exceed $28,000,000. Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif., and the expected completion date is February 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured under a justification and approval grant which gives authority to award this contract on a sole source basis.
