DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Picker International, Highland Heights, Ohio, is being awarded an estimated maximum $30,000,000 indefinite quantity contract for nuclear medicine systems. Eleven proposals were solicited and nine were received. Work is expected to be completed by Aug. 30, 1999. Siemens Medical Systems, Iselin, N.J., is being awarded an estimated maximum $30,000,000 indefinite quantity contract for nuclear medicine systems. Eleven proposals were solicited and nine were received. Work will be performed in Hoffman Estates, Ill., and is expected to be completed by Aug. 30, 1999. General Electric, Milwaukee, Wis., is being awarded an estimated maximum $30,000,000 indefinite quantity contract for nuclear medicine systems. Eleven proposals were solicited and nine were received. ADAC Laboratories, Milpitas, Calif., is being awarded an estimated maximum $30,000,000 indefinite quantity contract for nuclear medicine systems. Eleven proposals were solicited and nine were received. Work is expected to be completed by Aug. 30, 1999. Toshiba America Medical Systems, Duluth, Ga., is being awarded an estimated maximum $30,000,000 indefinite quantity contract for nuclear medicine systems. Work will be performed in Tokyo, Japan, and is expected to be completed by Aug. 30, 1999. The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SP0200-98-D-8059).

SMV America, Twinsberg, Ohio, is being awarded an estimated maximum $30,000,000 indefinite quantity contract for nuclear medicine systems. Eleven proposals were solicited and nine were received. Work will be performed in Buc, Cedex, France, and is expected to be completed by Aug. 30, 1999. ARMY

Robertson Aviation Inc.*, Tempe, Ariz., is being awarded a $15,968,685 (base year total) firm-fixed-price contract, with a cumulative total of $27,979,456 if all options are exercised, for 209 CH-47D Chinook crashworthy extended range fuel system (CWERFS) "A" kits, 25 CWERFS "B" kits, and associated training and technical manuals. Work will be performed in Tempe, Ariz., and is expected to be completed by July 10, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on June 15, 1998. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala. (DAAH23-98-C-0133).

Laguna Industries Inc.*, Laguna, N.M., is being awarded an $8,156,046 (base year total) firm-fixed-price, time and materials contract, with a cumulative total of $25,779,207 if all options are exercised, for the purchase of 48 Downsized Communication System Control Element Shelters for the U.S. Army and the Joint Communications Support Element. Work will be performed in Laguna, N.M., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on May 15, 1998. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Communications & Electronics Command, Ft. Monmouth, N.J. (DAAB07-98-C-F757).

Intersteel Inc.*, Louisville, Ky., is being awarded an $8,111,000 (base year total) firm-fixed-price contract, with a cumulative total of $8,622,000 if all options are exercised, for construction of a new two-story U.S. Army Reserve Center and a one-story Organizational Maintenance Shop and Area Maintenance Support Activity. Work will be performed in Knoxville, Tenn., and is expected to be completed by Aug. 28, 2000. Of the total contract funds, $1,710,759 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 78 bids solicited on May 5, 1998, and three bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile, Ala. (DACA01-98-C-0066).

NAVY

Marinette Marine Corp., Marinette, Wis., is being awarded a $32,490,516 firm-fixed-price contract for the design, construction and delivery of two small barracks craft (APL 65 and 66). APLs 65 and 66 are being procured to provide living accommodations for a surface ship crew during ship repair and overhaul periods. The APL craft are used as a semi-permanently moored floating facility capable of berthing 230 personnel, messing for 1,130 personnel, and providing other support functions for these personnel. Work will be performed in Marinette, Wis., and is expected to be completed by December 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via the internet and three offers were received. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (N00024-98-C-2200).

The Small Business Administration, Oklahoma City, Okla., and its subcontractor, Wyandotte Tribal Petroleum, Inc., (Wyandotte Network Communications), Wyandotte, Okla., is being awarded a $29,880,000 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, fixed-price contract to provide commercial telecommunication and network hardware, software, and related supplies and services as required by SPAWAR Systems Center Charleston, S.C. Work will be performed in Wyandotte, Okla., and is expected to be completed by August 2001. Contract funds in the amount of $50,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was procured under the Small Business 8(a) program on a non-competitive basis with one proposal solicited and one offer received. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, Charleston, S.C., is the contracting activity (N65236-98-D-5033).

Northrop Grumman Corp., Bethpage, N.Y., is being awarded a $20,497,380 firm-fixed-price contract for the fabrication and assembly of five EA-6B wing center sections. Work will be performed in St. Augustine, Fla. (43%), Bethpage, N.Y. (35%), and Melbourne, Fla. (22%), and is expected to be completed by June 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00019-98-C-0057).

Dillingham Construction Pacific, Ltd, dba Hawaiian Dredging Construction Co., Honolulu, Hawaii, is being awarded an $11,109,000 firm-fixed-price contract for the construction of a bilge and oily waste collection system and processing facilities, Phase I. This contract includes options which, if exercised, will bring the total cumulative value of the contract to $15,121,000. Work will be performed in Pearl Harbor, Oahu, Hawaii, and is expected to be completed by September 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 93 proposals solicited and six offers received. The Regional Officer in Charge of Contracts, Pearl Harbor, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, is the contracting activity (N62742-96-C-1346).

Harkins Builders, Inc., Silver Spring, Md., is being awarded an $8,390,334 firm-fixed-priced contract for wholehouse/wholesite repairs and improvements to 83 three-bedroom units and 22 four-bedroom units at Capeheart family housing at the Norfolk Naval Base. Work will be performed in Norfolk, Va., and is expected to be completed by November 1999. Contract funds in the amount of $1,878,078 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 53 proposals solicited and nine offers received. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Atlantic Division, Norfolk, Va., is the contracting activity (N62470-97-C-8325).

Northrop Grumman Corp., Bethpage, N.Y., is being awarded a $7,600,000 ceiling priced order against a cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for contractor engineering technical services to support the French E-2C program under the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program. Work will be performed in France (90%), and Bethpage, N.Y. (10%), and is expected to be completed by September 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00019-95-G-0050).

Beneco Enterprises, Inc., Midvale, Utah, is being awarded a $7,176,000 task order under a multiple awardee design/build solution order concept contract for Phases 5 and 6. This will provide for construction of 34 two-story duplex dwelling units and 18 single-story dwelling units at Wherry Housing, Travis Air Force Base. This basic contract amount is not to exceed $120,000,000. Work will be performed in Fairfield, Calif., and is expected to be completed by January 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This basic task order contract was competitively procured with 78 proposals solicited and 15 offers received. Four contractors compete for each task order under the terms and conditions of the existing multiple awardee contract.
