ARMY

Sparta Inc.*, Laguna Hills, Calif., is being awarded a time-and-materials/cost reimbursable requirements contract (appropriation number and dollar value will be issued with each delivery order), with a base year total of $16,402,290, and a cumulative total of $42,445,492 (two year base period and three one-year options). The contract is for Missile and Space Intelligence Command Lab Support Services for the country of Egypt, and is expected to be completed by Sept. 7, 2003. There were 20 bids solicited on March 25, 1998, and two bids were received. The contracting activity is the Virginia Contracting Activity, Washington, D.C. (MDA908-98-D-0002).

United Defense LP, Ground Systems Division, York, Pa., is being awarded a $12,882,991 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for manufacturing technical assistance in support of Egypt co-production of 50 M88A2 Hercules vehicles. Work will be performed in Cairo, Egypt (60%), and York, Pa. (40%), and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on May 28, 1998. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command, Warren, Mich. (DAAE07-98-C-X005).

Danis Environmental Industries Inc., Dayton, Ohio, is being awarded a $12,073,000 firm-fixed-price contract for plant renovations to the Dalecarlia and McMillan Water Treatment Plants, Washington Aqueduct, including construction of chloramine facilities, disposal of contaminated soil and clearwell waterproofing. Work will be performed in Washington, D.C., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 4, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 35 bids solicited on July 29, 1998, and five bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore, Md. (DACW31-98-C-0059).

DEFENSE COMMISSARY AGENCY

Swift and Company of Greeley, CO is being awarded a $10,630,367 firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity type to provide fresh pork products to DeCA commissaries. Work will be performed at Greeley, CO with delivery to multiple commissary

sites throughout DeCA's Western/Pacific Region. Performance under this contract is expected to be completed by Sep. 28, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Sixteen firms were solicited and four offers were received. The Defense Commissary Agency, Hopewell, Va., is the contracting activity (DeCA02-98-D-0049).

AIR FORCE

Raytheon Training Inc., Irving, Texas, was awarded on September 3, a $14,746,168 firm-fixed-price-contract to provide for FY 1999-2004 flight crew training support for the E-6 aircraft. This effort includes maintenance of simulator equipment and development of curriculum. There were 8 firms solicited and 4 proposals received. Expected contract completion date is September 30, 2004. Solicitation issue date was April 1, 1998. Negotiation completion date was May 28, 1998. Ogden Air Logistics Center, Hill AFB, Utah, is the contracting activity (F42630-98-C-0301).

GTE Government Systems Corp., Mountain View, Calif., is being awarded a $115,000,000 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity-contract to provide for development and deployment of the Information Operations Planning System (IOPS). This system will consist of an integrated suite of software tools that will provide access to a range of information sources, visualization applications, decision support aids, and analytical processing applications. These tools will be used to develop new campaign and mission oriented information operations planning and command and control system segments for integration into the Theater Battle Management Core Systems and the Global Command and Control System. Expected contract completion date is August 30, 2003. Solicitation issue date was April 29, 1998. Negotiation completion date was August 10, 1998. Electronic Systems Center, Hanscom AFB, Mass., is the contracting activity (F19628-98-D-0032).

Pratt and Whitney San Antonio Inc., San Antonio, Texas, is being awarded a $30,172,756 firm-fixed-price-contract to provide for repair and overhaul of 216 (estimated quantity) Engine Core Modules applicable to the F100 engine on the F-15 aircraft. There were two firms solicited and two proposals received. Expected contract completion date is 60 days after receipt of order. Solicitation issue date was March 23, 1998. Negotiation completion date was May 22, 1998. San Antonio Air Logistics Center, Kelly AFB, Texas, is the contracting activity (F416508-98-D-0621).

Boeing North American, Inc., Fort Walton Beach, Fla., is being awarded a $7,524,416 face value increase to a cost-plus-award-fee-contract to provide for design, development, test and production of two Gun Test Systems applicable to the AC-130U aircraft. This system will be used to test line replaceable units on the aircraft at the intermediate and depot level of maintenance. Expected contract completion date is April 4, 2001. Negotiation completion date was June 29, 1998. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-94-C-0047-P00057).

GTE Government Systems Corp., El Segundo, Calif., is being awarded a $27,644,677 face value increase to a firm-fixed-price-requirements-type-contract to provide for Contractor Logistics Support from July 1999 through June 2002 for Intelligence and Information Processing and Production Equipment. Expected contract completion date is June 2000. Solicitation issue date was June 20, 1996. Negotiation completion date was November 21, 1996. Warner Robins Air Logistics Center, Robins AFB, Ga., is the contracting activity (F09603-97-D-0008-P00005).

Lockheed Martin Command and Control Systems, Colorado Springs, Colo., is being awarded a $14,244,750 cost-plus-award-fee-contract to provide for the Computing Environment STRATCOM Architecture (CESAR) program. This program includes integration, development, and non-personal technical support to United States Strategic Command and the National Command Authorities in the form of systems engineering and analysis, information technology planning, architectures and standards development and maintenance, systems development and fielding, configuration management and testing, and system operation and maintenance. There were 7 firms solicited and 2 proposals received. Expected contract completion date is October 1, 1998. Solicitation issue date was May 26, 1998. The 56th Contracting Squadron, Offutt AFB, Neb., is the contracting activity (F25600-99-C-0501).

NAVY

General Electric Corp., Aircraft Engine Business Group, Lynn, Mass., is being awarded a $32,240,826 firm-fixed-price contract for the procurement of 48 T700-GE-401 engines for the government of Taiwan AH-1W aircraft program under the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Program. Work will be performed in Lynn, Mass., and is expected to be completed by May 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00019-98-C-0034).

L3 Communications, Alpharetta, Ga., is being awarded a $10,869,828 firm-fixed-price contract for the manufacture of display panels for the ASA-82 system (pilot and co-pilot display) on the S-3B aircraft. Work will be performed in Alpharetta, Ga., and is expected to be completed by September 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with three proposals solicited and two offers received. The Naval Inventory Control Point, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (N00383-98-C-022J).
