DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

U.S. Oil & Refining Company*, Tacoma, Wash., is being awarded an$18,408,020 fixed-price-with-economic-price-adjustment contract for F76, naval distillate; and JP-8, jet fuel. One hundred eighty-six proposals were solicited and thirty-four were received. Work is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 1999. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Energy Support Center, Fort Belvoir, Va., is the contracting activity (SPO600-98-D-0490).

ARMY

Ceridian Corp., Bloomington, Minn., was awarded on Sept. 11, 1998, a $449,231 increment of a $7,133,564 modification to a $39,713,469 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for Battlefield Awareness and Data Dissemination Segment Development and Integration, and demonstration support. Work will be performed in Bloomington, Minn., and is expected to be completed by June 30, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Feb. 14, 1996. The contracting activity is the Defense Advanced Research Activity, Arlington, Va. (MDA972-96-C-0017).

Carothers Construction Inc., Water Valley, Miss., is being awarded a $7,298,563 firm-fixed-price contract to design/build a physical fitness center adjacent to an existing gymnasium. The facility will contain a basketball court, an elevated indoor running track, an aerobics room, a weight training room, a three-lap exercise pool, three racketball courts, and various bathroom, shower, sauna, and locker facilities for men and women, plus administrative and maintenance facilities. Work will be performed at Robins Air Force Base, Ga., and is expected to be completed by Oct. 30, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 86 bids solicited on March 24, 1998, and four bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah, Ga. (DACA21-98-C-0071).

McKnight Construction Co., Augusta, Ga., is being awarded a $5,804,890 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of an HH-60 Operations/Pararescue Facility. The building will have a reinforced concrete foundation and floor slab, structural steel frame, masonry walls, metal roof system, fire protection system, heating/ventilation and air conditioning and support utilities, paving, parking and landscaping. The building will include administrative space, training and

briefing rooms, personnel gear storage areas, locker rooms and shower facilities. Work will be performed at Moody Air Force Base, Ga., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 30, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 70 bids solicited on June 18, 1998, and five bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah, Ga. (DACA21-98-C-0067).

TransAtlantic Lines* LLC, Greenwich, Conn., is being awarded an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract (appropriation number and dollar value will be issued with each delivery order), with a cumulative total of $5,519,295. The contract is for commercial breakbulk and containerized ocean and intermodal transportation between the U.S. East Coast and Iceland, in support of Department of Defense and military shipper services providing for continuous resupply. Work will be performed in Greenwich, Conn., and is expected to be completed by Oct. 31, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were eight bids solicited on Jan. 30, 1998, and six bids were received. The contracting activity is the Military Traffic Management Command, Falls Church, Va. (DAMT01-98-D-9612).

Speegle Construction Inc., Cocoa, Fla., is being awarded a $6,065,000 increment (base year total) as part of a $6,551,000 (total if all options are exercised) firm-fixed-price contract for construction of a 132 person dormitory, a three-story facility. Work will be performed at Hurlburt Field, Fla., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 98 bids solicited on July 10, 1998, and ten bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile, Ala. (DACA01-98-C-0069).

CIVIL WORKS - NON MILITARY

Natco Ltd. Partnership, Oak Brook, Ill., is being awarded a $1,000 increment as part of an $11,779,100 firm-fixed-price contract for Contract No. 2, 2D beach renourishment, Surfside and South Miami Beach; and beach erosion control and hurricane protection, Dade County, Fla. Work will be performed in South Beach Miami, Fla. (18%), and Surfside, Fla. (82%), and is expected to be completed by March 15, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 55 bids solicited on July 23, 1998, and one bid was received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville, Fla. (DACW17-98-C-0032).

NAVY

Tracor Systems Technologies, Inc., Rockville, Md., is being awarded a $13,946,907 modification to previously awarded contract N00421-97-C-1434 to exercise an option for technical and engineering services in support of identification system programs for various aircrafts and ships. Work will be performed in California, Md. (70%), St. Inigoes, Md. (25%), and other government facilities (5%), and is expected to be completed in September 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Div., St. Inigoes, Md., is the contracting activity.

Harper/Nielsen Dillingham Builders, (a joint venture), San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a $7,797,265 firm-fixed-priced contract for construction of a two-story waterfront operations building to support the mission of the Navy Explosive Ordnance Mobile Unit at Naval Amphibious Base, Coronado, Calif. Work will be performed in Coronado, Calif., and is expected to be completed by July 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 35 proposals solicited and five offers received. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southwest Div., San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity (N68711-94-C-1434).

AIR FORCE

Lockheed Martin Services, Inc., Cherry Hill, NJ., is being awarded a $6,858,829 face value increase to a fixed-price-award-fee-contract to provide for FY 1999 operation and maintenance of electronic combat range sites. Expected contract completion date is Sept. 30, 1999. Solicitation issue date was July 11, 1994. Range Management Office, Nellis AFB, Nev., is the contracting activity (26600-95-C0021-P00042).
