DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Texaco International Trader, Inc., White Plains, N.Y., is being awarded a $9,188,871 fixed-price-with-economic-price-adjustment contract for jet A-1 fuel without FSII. Seventy-six proposals were solicited and 13 were received. Work will be performed in overseas locations. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Energy Support Center, Fort Belvoir, Va., is the contracting activity (SPO600-98-D-0247).

Hermes Consolidated, Inc.*, Denver, Colo., is being awarded a $17,709,813 fixed-price-with-economic-price-adjustment contract for JP-8, aviation turbine fuel. Two hundred nine proposals were solicited and 36 were received. Work will be performed in New Castle, Wyo., and is expected to be completed by Oct. 30, 1999. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Energy Support Center, Fort Belvoir, Va., is the contracting activity (SP0600-98-D-0509).

Mobil Oil Corp., Fairfax, Va., is being awarded a $73,319,700 fixed-price-with-economic-price-adjustment contract for JP5, turbine aviation fuel; and JP-8, turbine aviation fuel. Two hundred nine proposals were solicited and 36 were received. Work will be performed in Torrance, Calif., and is expected to be completed by Oct. 30, 1999. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Energy Support Center, Fort Belvoir, Va., is the contracting activity (SP0600-98-D-0508).

Exxon Co., U.S.A, Houston, Texas, is being awarded an estimated $72,650,700 fixed-price-with-economic-price-adjustment contract for JP-8, aviation turbine fuel. Two hundred nine proposals were solicited and 36 were received. Work will be performed in Benicia, Calif., and is expected to be completed by Oct. 30, 1999. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Energy Support Center, Fort Belvoir, Va., is the contracting activity (SP0600-98-D-0483).

ARMY

American Science & Engineering Inc.*, Billerica, Mass., was awarded on Sept. 18, 1998, a modification to an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity/firm-fixed-price contract (appropriation number and dollar value will be issued with each delivery order), with an estimated not-to-exceed cumulative total of $30,000,000. This will provide an increase in quantities by 85 to 135 for acquisition of commercial, non-developmental mobile x-ray systems with Model Number 101Z (Mobile) as well as associated delivery, installation and upgrades. Acquisition of additional systems will improve capability for non-intrusive inspection for intercepting drugs, explosives, and other contraband entering the United States via airports and border crossings in support of the United States Customs Service. Work will be performed in Billerica, Mass., and is expected to be completed by May 31, 1999. This is a sole source contract initiated on Feb. 3, 1995. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Communications & Electronics Command, Fort Monmouth, N.J. (DAAB10-95-C-R050).

Raytheon Missile Systems Co., Tucson, Ariz., is being awarded a $2,000,000 increment of a $45,711,321 (base year total) cost-plus-award-fee/fixed-fee contract, with a cumulative total of $345,165,038, if all options are exercised. The contractor will develop an Atmospheric Interceptor Technology (AIT) Interceptor Testbed, in support of the Ballistic Missile Defense Organization initiative that aligns AIT program requirements and technology efforts to meet future customer needs; and will be required to define, design, develop, fabricate, integrate, document, and test interceptor testbed components culminating in demonstrations of an integrated AIT interceptor testbed. Work will be performed Elkton, Md. (32%); Dallas, Texas (26%); Clearwater, Fla. (12%); East Aurora, N.Y. (9%); Biddeford, Maine (9%); Tewksbury, Mass. (6%); and Huntsville, Ala. (6%), and is expected to be completed by June 21, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 50 bids solicited on March 6, 1998, and two bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Space & Strategic Defense Command, Huntsville, Ala. (DASG60-98-C-0061).

American Auto Logistics Inc., Woodcliff Lake, N.J., is being awarded a fixed-price requirements contract (appropriation number and dollar value will be issued with each delivery order), with a cumulative total of $1,010,499,772, if all options are exercised. The contractor will provide transportation and transportation-related services for the Department of Defense sponsored Privately Owned Vehicle movement between the Continental United States and overseas locations. Work is expected to be completed by Oct. 31, 2003. There were 100 bids solicited on April 1, 1998, and one bid was received. The contracting activity is the Military Traffic Management Command, Falls Church, Va. (DAMT01-98-D-2005).

Yun's Co. Inc.*, Seattle, Wash., is being awarded a $5,995,000 firm-fixed-price contract for converting eight 8-plex buildings to 4-plex units. This will include demolition and removal of interiors and exterior envelopes down to the frames. Work will be performed at Fort Wainwright, Alaska, and is expected to be completed by May 1, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 105 bids solicited on Aug. 10, 1998, and eight bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Anchorage, Alaska (DACA85-98-C-0028).

NAVY

Lockheed Martin Corp., Lockheed Martin Federal Systems Owego Co., Owego, N.Y., is being awarded a $5,756,652 cost reimbursement, fixed-fee, delivery order against an existing basic ordering agreement to provide engineering services to perform a requirements study to ensure the SH-60R air weapon system and multi-mission helicopter avionics system specification requirements are complete and testable. Work will be performed in Owego, N.Y., and is expected to be completed by April 1999. Contract funds will not expire by the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00019-97-G-0111).
