DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Bergen Brunswig Medical Corporation, Orange, Calif., is being awarded a $10,243,000 firm-fixed-price modified-requirements contract for medical and surgical supplies under the Prime Vendor program. Work will be performed in Lake Zurich, Ill.; Indianapolis, Ind.; Cincinnati, Ohio; Earth City, Mo.; Fridley, Minn.; and St. Clair Shores, Mich., and is expected to be completed by Oct. 26, 1999. The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SPO200-96-D-7107).

The Wornick Company*, McAllen, Texas, is being awarded a $79,380,405 fixed-price-with-economic-price-adjustment contract for assembly of meals, ready-to-eat. Work will be performed in Cincinnati, Ohio, and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 1999. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SPO300-97-D-Z101).

Black Beauty Resources*, Evansville, Ind., is being awarded a $57,599,100 fixed-price-with-economic-price-adjustment contract for assembly of meals, ready-to-eat. Work is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 1999. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SPO300-97-D-Z102).

SOPAKCO**, Mullins, S.C., is being awarded a $45,682,650 fixed-price-with-economic-price-adjustment contract for assembly of meals, ready-to-eat. Work will be performed in Bennettsville, S.C., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 1999. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SPO300-97-D-Z103).

AIR FORCE

Boeing Information, Wichita, Kan., is being awarded a $146,407,910 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for organizational and intermediate maintenance and operational support from November 1998 through May 2001 for the Royal Saudi Air Force E-3A, KE-3A, and

RE-3A aircraft. This effort supports foreign military sales to Saudi Arabia. There was one firm solicited and one proposal received. Expected contract completion date is May 31, 2001. Solicitation issue date was Sept. 8, 1997. Negotiation completion date was April 8, 1998. Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center, Tinker AFB, Okla., is the contracting activity (F34601-98-C-0123).

ERC Inc., Tullahoma, Tenn., is being awarded an $18,509,547 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to provide for theoretical and experimental research in the physical and engineering sciences through FY 2003 in support of the Research in Propulsion Sciences Program at the Air Force Research Laboratory Propulsion Directorate, Edwards AFB Calif. There were 24 firms solicited and nine proposals received. Expected contract completion date is Sept. 30, 2003. Solicitation issue date was July 21, 1998. Air Force Flight Test Center, Edwards AFB, Calif., is the contracting activity (F04611-99-C-0025).

NAVY

Valenzuela Engineering, Incorporated, Santa Maria, Calif., is being awarded a $7,242,000 firm-fixed-price contract for weapons facility improvements which include new construction of one earth-covered concrete magazine, five pre-engineered metal buildings, renovation of existing buildings and magazines, and all incidental related work at the Naval Air Station, Lemoore, Calif. Work will be performed in Lemoore, Calif., and is expected to be completed in April 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The contract was competitively procured with 66 proposals solicited and two offers received. The Engineering Field Activity West, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, San Bruno, Calif., is the contracting activity (N62474-97-C-1600).

Newport News Shipbuilding, Newport News, Va, is exercising a $6,027,610 cost-plus-fixed-fee, level of effort contract option for advance planning for the defueling, inactivation, and preparation for tow of the USS Narwhal (SSN 671). Work will be performed in Newport News, Va., and is expected to be completed in December 1998. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity.
