BALLISTIC MISSILE DEFENSE ORGANIZATION

Beta Analytics International, Inc. of Upper Marlboro, Md., is being awarded a $7,500,000 cost-plus-fixed-fee completion-type contract for technical support in the areas of Information Assurance, International Security, Organizational Security and Special Programs, Program Protection and Assurance, and Counterintelligence. Work will be performed in Arlington, Va., and is expected to be completed in January 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Seventy-one offers were solicited and three were received. The contracting activity is the Ballistic Missile Defense Organization, Arlington, Va. (HQ0006-99-C-0001). This contract will be awarded using FY-1999 RDT&E funds.

ARMY

AM General Corp., South Bend, Ind., is being awarded a $26,045,400 firm-fixed-price contract for 400 remanufactured 2 1/2 ton M44A3 cargo trucks for the Extended Service Program. Work will be performed in South Bend**, Ind. (90%), and Livonia**, Mich. (10%), and is expected to be completed by Feb. 28, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Sept. 15, 1998. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command, Warren, Mich. (DAAE07-99-D-M001).

Skyline Development & Construction Co. Inc.*, Lathrup Village, Mich., is being awarded an $8,690,350 firm-fixed-price construction contract for Project VGLZ979505, to replace the vehicle maintenance and communications complex. The project requires the construction contractor to provide all plant, labor, materials, transportation, supervision, facilities and expertise to construct a new 42,300 sq. foot Vehicle Maintenance Facility, and alter/repair/maintain 21,555 sq. feet of existing Building 128, Communications Complex Facility. The effort includes but is not limited to installing various utility systems (electric, water, compressed air, heating/ventilation and air conditioning, communications) throughout the new facilities, room demolition/remodeling, interior finishing of walls, ceilings and floors of Building 128. Also included is construction/replacement of the existing heating/air conditioning system with energy efficient equipment and a complete direct digital control electronic control system to be interfaced with the base system. Work will be performed at the Selfridge Air

National Guard Base, Mich., and is expected to be completed by Aug. 20, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 43 bids solicited on July 30, 1998, and 12 bids were received. The contracting activity is the National Guard Bureau, Lansing, Mich. (DAHA20-99-C-5000).

Stanley Associates Inc.*, Alexandria, Va., is being awarded $10,855,569 as part of a cost-plus-fixed-fee and time and materials contract for FY99 automation requirement for the continued development, testing, implementation and support of the Army War Reserve Deployment System and the Automated Battlebook System. Work will be performed in Alexandria, Va., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on July 14, 1998. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Armament, Munitions & Chemical Command, Rock Island, Ill. (DAAA09-96-G-0004).

Raytheon Systems Co., El Segundo, Calif., is being awarded a $24,208,502 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract for 48 Improved Bradley Acquisition Subsystems, Low Rate Initial Production III. Work will be performed in El Segundo, Calif., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were two bids solicited on Feb. 11, 1997, and two bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala. (DAAH01-97-C-0390).

Raytheon TI Systems Inc., McKinney, Texas, is being awarded a $16,694,950 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract for 25 Improved Bradley Acquisition Subsystems, Low Rate Initial Production III. Work will be performed in McKinney, Texas, and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were two bids solicited on Feb. 11, 1997, and two bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala. (DAAH01-96-C-0376).

AIR FORCE

Raytheon Missile Systems Company, Tucson, Ariz., is being awarded a $6,827,103 face value increase to a cost-plus-fixed-price contract to provide for development, integration, and test of the Tape 7C guidance and targeting software in support of the Block Six Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missiles (AMRAAM). Expected contract completion date is Dec. 31, 1999. Aeronautical Systems Center, Eglin AFB, Fla., is the contracting activity (F08626-93-C-0044-P00041).

Bell South Telecommunications Inc., Atlanta, Ga., is being awarded a $6,654,563 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for local telephone service for business lines at Robins AFB, Ga., through Oct. 15, 2003. There were three firms solicited and one proposal received. Solicitation issue date was April 2, 1998. Negotiation completion date was Sept. 2, 1998. The 38th Engineering Installation Wing, Tinker AFB, Okla., is the contracting activity (F34608-97-H-0021/0023).

NAVY

Avondale Industries, Inc., Shipyard Division, New Orleans, La., is being awarded a $14,453,270 modification to previously awarded contract N00024-93-C-2205 to exercise an option for the procurement of long lead time material for one strategic sealift ship. Work will be performed in New Orleans, La., and is expected to be completed in September 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity.

Electric Boat Corp, Groton, Conn., is being awarded a $12,759,073 modification to previously awarded contract N00024-97-C-4000 for reactor plant planning yard services for nuclear powered submarines. Work will be performed in Groton, Conn., and is expected to be completed in September 1999. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity.

Nordic Construction, Limited,* Honolulu, Hawaii, is being awarded a $7,798,000 firm-fixed-price contract for the central receiving/container operation facility at the Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. The work will consist of demolition of several buildings and construction of an open area structure with mezzanine, and a loading dock pit with six docking positions for container and flat bed trucks and all other incidental related work. Work will be performed in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, and is expected to be completed in April 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The contract was competitively procured with 42 proposals solicited and eight offers received. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Pacific Division, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, is the contracting activity (N62742-97-C-1311).

McDonnell Douglas Corp., St. Louis, Mo., a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Co., is being awarded a $7,353,706 ceiling priced order for 225 arresting hook subassemblies for the F/A-18C/D aircraft. Work will be performed in St. Louis, Mo. (33%), Gardenia, Calif. (26%), Reading, Pa. (22%), Wright City, Mo. (11.2%), South Gate, Calif. (4%), Maspeth, N.Y. (1.2%), Commerce, Calif. (1%), Newtown, Pa. (1%), Earth City, Mo. (.3%), and Steelville, Mo. (.3%), and is expected to be completed in August 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Inventory Control Point, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (N00383-96-G-004D) (Order 3276).

Newport News Shipbuilding and Drydock Co., Newport News, Va., is being awarded a $5,079,693 modification to previously awarded contract N00024-97-C-4001 for reactor plant planning yard services for nuclear powered submarines and submersibles. Work will be performed in Newport News, Va., and is expected to be completed in September 1999. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity.
