NAVY

General Electric Aircraft Engines, Lynn, Mass., is being awarded a $318,657,828 modification to previously awarded fixed-price incentive contract N00019-97-C-0114 to definitize the Low Rate Initial Production III for 66 F414-GE-400 engines and related modules, devices and engineering services for the F/A-18E/F aircraft. Work will be performed in Lynn, Mass. (58%); Evendale, Ohio (20%); Marion, Va. (5%); Rutland, Vt. (4%); Albuquerque, N.M. (4%); Madison, Ky. (4%); Hooksett, N.H. (3%), and Wilmington, N.C. (2%), and is expected to be completed by May 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

  • Lockheed Martin Missiles & Space, Sunnyvale, Calif., is being awarded a $17,000,000 cost-plus-incentive-fee contract for necessary additional hardware for the FY 99 TRIDENT II (D5) production and deployed systems. Work will be performed in Sunnyvale, Calif., and is expected to be completed by September 2002. Contract funds in the amount of $142,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. AIR FORCE

Boeing Defense and Space Group, Seal Beach, Calif., is being awarded a $5,335,442 face value increase to a firm-fixed-price contract to provide for advanced integration studies in support of the Global Positioning System Block IIF satellite. Expected contract completion date is April 1, 2001. Space and Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles AFB, Calif., is the contracting activity (F04701-96-C-0025-P00050).

Niking Corp., Pearl City, Hawaii, is being awarded a $5,261,148 firm-fixed-price-construction contract to provide for renovation of 36 units of military family housing at Hickam AFB, Hawaii. There were 71 firms solicited and ten proposals received. Expected contract completion date is Feb. 22, 2000. Solicitation issue date was Sept. 22, 1998. Negotiation completion date was Nov. 4, 1998. The 15th Contracting Squadron, Hickam AFB, Hawaii, is the contracting activity (F64605-99-C-0004).

ARMY

United Information Systems Inc., Bethesda, Md., was awarded on Feb. 19, 1999, a cost-plus-fixed-fee contract with an estimated base year total of $13,204,578 and a cumulative total of $33,564,675 if all options are exercised. An appropriation number and dollar value will be issued with each task order. The contractor will perform a scientific peer review of congressionally directed research proposals that currently include breast cancer, prostate cancer, neurofibromatosis, and ovarian cancer. Work will be performed in Frederick, Md. (60%), and Bethesda, Md. (40%), and is expected to be completed by Feb. 18, 2004. There were 63 bids solicited on July 10, 1998, and two bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity, Ft. Detrick, Frederick, Md. (DAMD17-99-D-0006).
