DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Pride Companies, L.P.*, Abilene, Texas, was awarded on March 2, 1999, a $12,088,545 fixed-price-with-economic-price-adjustment contract for aviation turbine fuel, JP-8. Three hundred thirty-six proposals were solicited and 19 were received. Work will be performed in Aledo, Texas, and Abilene, Texas, and is expected to be completed by March 31, 2000. PYA Monarch Virginia Beach, Virginia Beach, Va., is being awarded a $55,000,000 firm-fixed-price, indefinite-quantity contract for total food and beverage support for Navy ships under the Prime Vendor program. Work is expected to be completed by March 3, 2000. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. Joseph Webb Foods*, Vista, Calif., is being awarded a $11,800,000 firm-fixed-price, indefinite-quantity contract for food and beverage support under the Prime Vendor program. Ninety-five proposals were solicited and five were received. Work is expected to be completed by March 3, 2000. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. Placid Refining Company*, Port Allen, La., is being awarded an estimated $28,569,600 fixed-price-with-economic-price-adjustment contract for aviation turbine fuel, JP-5/JP-8. Coastal Refining & Marketing, Inc., Houston, Texas, is being awarded a $72,733,321 fixed-price-with-economic-price-adjustment contract for aviation turbine fuel, JP-8, and naval distillate fuel, F76. Three hundred thirty-six proposals were solicited and 19 were received. Work will be performed in Corpus Christi, Texas, and is expected to be completed by April 30, 2000. Exxon Company, U.S.A. (EUSA), Houston, Texas, is being awarded an estimated $24,252,060 fixed-price-with-economic-price-adjustment contract for aviation turbine fuel, JP-8. Sun Company, Inc. (R&M), Philadelphia, Pa., is being awarded an estimated $35,370,143 fixed-price-with-economic-price-adjustment contract for aviation turbine fuel, JP-8. Three hundred thirty-six proposals were solicited and 25 were received. Work will be performed in Marcus Hook, Pa., and is expected to be completed by April 30, 2000. Equilon Enterprises LLC, Houston, Texas, is being awarded an estimated $198,759,525 fixed-price-with-economic-price-adjustment contract for aviation turbine fuel, JP-5 and JP-8, and naval distillate fuel, F76. Three hundred thirty-six proposals were solicited and 25 were received. Work will be performed in Deer Park, Texas, and Mobile, Ala., and is expected to be completed by April 30, 2000. NAVY

Raytheon Co., (d.b.a. Raytheon Systems Co.), Tucson, Ariz., is being awarded a $35,263,810 modification to previously awarded contract N00024-98-C-5441 for the production of 100 low rate initial production missiles for the Block 1 guided missile round pack production program. This effort is in support of the rolling airframe missile. Work will be performed in Tucson, Ariz. (50%), and Ottobrunn, Germany (50%), and is expected to be completed by September 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity.

Ibis Therapeutics, Carlsbad, Calif., is being awarded a $6,601,000 grant to develop a combination of biological and computational technologies for the synthesis of antimicrobial and antiviral compounds capable of neutralizing biological warfare pathogens. Work will be performed in Carlsbad, Calif., and is expected to be completed by January 2002. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This grant was competitively procured through a broad agency announcement with 60 proposals solicited and six offers received. The Space & Naval Warfare Systems Command's Systems Center, Charleston, S.C., is the grant awarding activity (N65236-99-1-5419).

The Hughes Institute, Roseville, Minn., is being awarded a $5,260,381 grant to develop a strategy which will allow the use of pokeweed antiviral protein as a universal virus neutralizer. Work will be performed in Roseville, Minn., and is expected to be completed by February 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This grant was competitively procured through a broad agency announcement with 288 proposals solicited and 33 offers received. The Space & Naval Warfare Systems Command's Systems Center, Charleston, S.C., is the grant awarding activity (N65236-99-1-5422).

AIR FORCE

United Technologies Corp., West Palm Beach, Fla., is being awarded a $26,700,000 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for 120 Inlet Guide Vane Cases applicable to the TF33 engine on the C-141 aircraft. There was one firm solicited and one proposal received. Expected contract completion date is April 30, 2001. Solicitation issue date was Jan. 7, 1999. Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center, Tinker AFB, Okla., is the contracting activity (F34601-98-G-0005-0020).

Lockheed Martin Corp. Marietta, Ga., is being awarded a $5,650,000 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to provide for interim contractor support through March 2000 for the C-130H aircraft. There was one firm solicited and one proposal received. Expected contract completion date is March 1, 2000. Solicitation issue date was Dec. 10, 1998. Negotiation completion date was March 2, 1999. Warner Robins Air Logistics Center, Robins AFB, Ga., is the contracting activity (F09603-99-C-0102).
