DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

TW Metals, Exton, Pa., is being awarded a $9,708,069 fixed-price-with-economic-price-adjustment indefinite-quantity contract for sheet metal plates. Nineteen proposals were solicited, and four were received. Work will be performed in Forest Park, Ga., and is expected to be completed by May 9, 2001. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Industrial Supply Center, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SP0500-99-D-0033).

Interstate Steel Supply Co., Philadelphia, Pa., is being awarded a $6,656,275 fixed-price-with-economic-price-adjustment indefinite-quantity contract for sheet and bar metal plates. Nineteen proposals were solicited, and four were received. Work is expected to be completed by May 9, 2001. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Industrial Supply Center, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SP0500-99-D-0032).

NAVY

Todd Pacific Shipyards Corp., Seattle Division, Seattle, Wash., is being awarded a $16,248,763 cost-plus-award-fee option for performance of the drydocking phased maintenance availability of USS Camden (AOE 2). Work will be performed in Seattle, Wash., and is expected to be completed by August 1999. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Puget Sound, Everett, Wash., is the contracting activity (N00024-96-C-8500).

Correction: The contract awarded to Todd Pacific Shipyards Corp., on Thursday, May 6th, in the amount of $9,379,430, should have read that is was a cost-plus-award-fee option.

AIR FORCE

The Boeing Company, St. Louis, Mo., is being awarded a $19,684,708 cost-plus-award-fee contract to provide for engineering and manufacturing development of the Common Low Observable Verification System (CLOVerS). The system's function will be to assess radar cross section integrity to support and maintain stealth capabilities for platforms such as the B-2, F-22,

and F-117 aircraft. There were five firms solicited, and four proposals were received. Expected contract completion date is April 30, 2002. Solicitation issue date was Nov. 23, 1998. Negotiation completion date was April 19, 1999. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-99-C-2023).

Lockheed Martin Corp., Palo Alto, Calif., is being awarded a $6,286,188 ($3,125,188 Government portion; $3,161,000 contractor portion) technology-investment agreement to provide for the Affordable Space System Intelligent Synthesis Technology for Manufacturing program. The goal of this program is to build and demonstrate a software tool to facilitate organization and dissemination of data in support of space system manufacturing. This was a broad agency announcement, and there were 22 proposals received. Expected contract completion date is Nov. 13, 2002. Solicitation issue date was May 18, 1998. Negotiation completion date was April 20, 1999. Air Force Research Laboratory, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33615-99-2-5902).

ARMY

Howard W. Pence Inc.*, Elizabethtown, Ky., is being awarded a $9,599,997 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of a Composite Medical Facility alteration/Dental Clinic addition, including all necessary supporting facilities (utilities, communications, parking, curbs and gutters, sidewalks, landscaping and storm drainage). A new standing seam metal roof will be constructed over the existing flat roof. Asbestos and lead-based paint abatement will be required. Work will be performed at Moody AFB, Ga., and is expected to be completed by June 4, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 124 bids solicited on Dec. 4, 1998, and five bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah, Ga., is the contracting activity (DACA21-99-C-0014).
