DEFENSE ADVANCED RESEARCH PROJECTS AGENCY

Teledyne Ryan Aeronautical, San Diego, Calif., was awarded on July 9, 1999, a $3,011,497 increment as part of a $14,100,000 other-transaction-for-prototype agreement to prototype and demonstrate a miniature air-launched cruise missile interceptor with supersonic capability. Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif., and is expected to be completed by Jan. 31, 2002. This is a sole source agreement initiated on March 18, 1999. Agreement funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (MDA972-99-9-0006).

ARMY

CIVIL WORKS - NON MILITARY

Solantache/Inqwip, a joint venture, Santa Barbara, Calif., was awarded on July 9, 1999, a $6,000,000 increment as part of a $15,723,325 firm-fixed-price contract, to provide all necessary construction and relocations related to the installation of 1,030 meters of impervious cutoff wall along the east bank levee of the Sacramento River and 10,000 meters of impervious cutoff wall intermittently along the lower American River north bank levee from Lathrop Way to Jacob Lane in the city and county of Sacramento. The design requires installation of a slurry cutoff wall. The type of utility relocations include storm rainpipes, sewer and water lines. Work is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 140 bids solicited on Feb. 6, 1999, and eight bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento, Calif., is the contracting activity (DACW05-99-C-0048).

NAVY

RQ Construction, Inc.,* Bonsall, Calif., is being awarded a $6,323,000 firm-fixed-price construction contract to furnish all labor, materials, and equipment for the rehabilitation of bachelor enlisted quarters building 856 at Naval Air Station, Lemoore. This contract contains options, which, if exercised, will bring the cumulative value of this contract to $16,064,000.

Work will be performed in Lemoore, Calif., and is expected to be completed by August 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 33 proposals solicited and seven offers received. The Engineering Field Activity West, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, San Bruno, Calif., is the contracting activity (N62474-94-C-7440).

AIR FORCE

Northrop Grumman Corp., Melbourne, Fla., was awarded on July 8, a $15,361,275 modification to a fixed-price-incentive contract, F19628-98-C-0003/P00005, to provide for long lead items in support of two Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar Systems (JSTARS) aircraft. Expected contract completion date is May 2002. Electronic Systems Center, Hanscom AFB, Md., is the contracting activity.

Lockheed Martin Corp., Sunnyvale, Calif., was awarded on July 9, an $18,752,299 modification to a cost-plus-award-fee contract, F04701-95-C-0015/P00106, to provide for technical and engineering support from Oct. 1999 through Aug. 2000 for the Air Force Tactical Exploitation of National Capabilities Program. Expected contract completion date is Aug. 31, 2000. Space and Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles AFB, Calif., is the contracting activity.

Woodward FST, Zeeland, Mich., and Wood Group Fuel Systems, Windsor Locks, Conn. were awarded on July 9, a $6,417,600 (estimated for each contractor) firm-fixed-price indefinite-delivery/ indefinite-quantity contract to repair and overhaul 1,440 (best estimated quantity) spray ring manifolds on the F100 engines applicable to the F-15 and F-16 aircraft through July 8, 2000. Funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued. There were two firms solicited and two proposals received. Expected contract completion date is July 2001. Solicitation issue date was Oct. 5, 1998. Funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued. San Antonio Air Logistics Center, Kelly AFB, Texas, is the contracting activity (Woodward FST: F41608-99-D-0424) and (Wood Group Fuel Systems: F41608-99-D-0425).

Raytheon Systems Co., Arlington, Texas, was awarded on July 9, a $7,000,000 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract, F33657-89-0039/P00091, to provide for resolution of a claim related to extended courseware design, development, and production in support of the aircrew training system supporting the C-141 aircraft. Expected contract completion date is July 1999. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the contracting activity.

S. Systems Corp., Los Angeles, Calif., is being awarded a $6,200,000 cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-quantity/indefinite-delivery task order contract to provide for the Coatings for High Energy Laser Applications program. This program will develop advanced optics and thin film

coatings in support of laser applications. There were eight firms solicited and one proposal received. Expected contract completion date is June 2004. Solicitation issue date was Oct. 7, 1998. Negotiation completion date was June 25, 1999. Air Force Research Laboratory, Kirtland AFB, N.M., is the contracting activity (F29601-99-D-0168).
