ARMY

W. G. Yates & Sons Construction Co., Biloxi, Miss., is being awarded a $5,710,600 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of troop camp quarters, consisting of but not limited to, the construction of a three-story building, approximately 55,000 sq. feet with 120 rooms to house 240 military personnel on short term training assignment. Work will be performed at the Combat Readiness Training Center (Air National Guard), Gulfport, Miss., and is expected to be completed by Jan. 31, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 45 bids solicited on April 9, 1999, and seven bids were received. The U.S. Army National Guard Bureau, Jackson, Miss., is the contracting activity (DAHA22-99-C-0001).

Gentex Corp., Carbondale, Pa., is being awarded $75,318 as part of a $500,318 (base year total) firm-fixed-price, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract, with a cumulative total of $83,219,537 if all options are exercised. The contractor will provide 125 first article items for the U.S. Marine Corps Light Weight Helmet Program. Work will be performed in Carbondale, Pa., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 15, 1999. Of the total contract funds $75,318 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There was an announcement on the World Wide Web on Feb. 19, 1999, and three bids were received. The U.S. Army Test & Evaluation Command, Natick, Mass., is the contracting activity (DAAD16-99-D-1015).

CIVIL WORKS - NON MILITARY

Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Co., Oak Brook, Ill., is being awarded a $935,000 increment as part of a $10,677,120 firm-fixed-price contract for new work dredging in Daniel Island Reach, Charleston Harbor, S.C., of approximately 2,152,000 cubic yards of unclassified new work material to be placed in an Environmental Protection Agency ocean disposal site. Work will be performed in Charleston, S.C., and is expected to be completed by July 15, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 15 bids solicited on May 28, 1999, and two bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Charleston, S.C., is the contracting activity (DACW60-99-C-0013).

NAVY

Sikorsky Aircraft Corp., Stratford, Conn., is being awarded a ceiling priced $38,700,000 cost-plus-incentive-fee contract for the design and development of two SH-60R test articles, non-recurring engineering, integrated logistics support management, standard depot level maintenance, and service life extension. Work will be performed in Stratford, Conn., and is expected to be completed by July 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00019-99-C-1069).

Northrop Grumman Corp., Field Support Services, Inc., Baltimore, Md., is being awarded a $9,747,574 modification to previously awarded contract N00019-98-C-0168 for the incorporation of engineering change proposal 1287 (9000 hour time compliance requirements (TCRs)) into the F-14A/B/D aircraft. This 9000 hour TCR is a major inspection and repair, which will greatly extend the service life, if necessary, of the F-14A/B/D aircraft. Work will be performed in Baltimore, Md., and is expected to be completed by July 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

AIR FORCE

Boeing Military Aircraft and Missile Systems Group, Seattle, Wash., is being awarded an $81,200,000 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract, F34601-99-C-0096-P00002, to provide for conversion of 227 AGM-68B conventional air launched cruise missiles to the AGM-86C version (45 block one, 182 block two) applicable to the B-52 aircraft. Expected contract completion date is March 31, 2001. Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center, Tinker AFB, Okla., is the contracting activity.

Lockheed Martin Corp., Marietta, Ga., is being awarded a $369,868,007 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract, F33657-95-C-2055-P00024, to provide for four C-130J aircraft (3 Air National Guard, 1 Air Force Reserve), two KC-130J aircraft (Marine Corps), one EC-130J aircraft (Air National Guard), one modification kit to convert a C-130J aircraft to the WC-130J configuration (Air Force Reserve), and one lot of spare parts in support of the KC-130J aircraft (Marine Corps). There was one firm solicited and one proposal received. Expected contract completion date is December 2001. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the contracting activity.
