ARMY CIVIL WORKS - NON MILITARY

Bean Stuyvesant, L.L.C., Belle Chasse, La., is being awarded a $2,450,000 increment as part of a $30,669,230 firm-fixed-price contract for channel improvements, Phase 2, in Pascagoula Harbor. The project includes deepening of the main harbor channel from Horn Island to the intersection with Bayou Casotte Channel, the Gulf entrance, the Upper and Lower Turning Basins on the Bayou Casotte Channel, and the widening and deepening of Bayou Casotte Channel. Work will be performed in Pascagoula**, Miss., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 5, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 87 bids solicited on April 15, 1999, and three bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile, Ala., is the contracting activity (DACW01-99-C-0048).

Macro Z Technology Co.*, Cypress, Calif., is being awarded a $6,938,500 firm-fixed-price contract to provide stone protection to channel slopes in the Los Angeles River between Willow St. and Edison Utility Bridge, for approximately two miles. Work will be performed in the City of Long Beach, Calif., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 1, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 42 bids solicited on May 25, 1999, and three bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Los Angeles, Calif., is the contracting activity (DACW09-99-C-0019).

NAVY

Alliant Techsystems, Hopkins, Minn., is being awarded a $25,844,737 low rate initial production contract with options consisting of 3 lots of MK 419 MOD 0 multifunction fuses (MFF). The MK 419 MOD 0 MFF is a projectile fuse designed for 76mm and 5"/54 guns. The first two lots, in quantities of 45 each and 260 each, respectively, are "first articles" and are awarded on a cost-plus-fixed-fee basis, with the base production lot totaling 10,055 each, under fixed-price-incentive-fee provisions. This contract contains options, which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to $48,000,000. Work will be performed in Janesville, Wis. (90%), and Hopkins, Minn. (10%), and is expected to be completed by

November 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (N00178-99-C-1003).

AIL Systems, Inc., Deer Park, N.Y., is being awarded a $25,644,850 firm-fixed-price contract for the procurement of 50 universal exciter upgrade (UEU) units for the EA-6B, including parts and technical data. The UEU, an essential part of the EA-6B tactical jamming system, generates the jamming modulations for the transmitters carried in the tactical jamming system pods. Work will be performed in Deer Park, N.Y., and is expected to be completed by July 2001. Contract funds in the amount of $3,064,722 would have expired at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00019-99-C-1331).

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

IGI Resources, Inc.*, Boise, Idaho, is being awarded a $7,800,243 firm-fixed-price fixed-price-with-economic-price-adjustment contract for direct supply natural gas. Four hundred eighty-one proposals were solicited and forty-six were received. Work will be performed in Tacoma, Wash.; Spokane, Wash.; Whidbey Island, Wash.; Bremerton, Wash.; Keyport, Wash.; Silverdale, Wash.; Portland, Ore.; Fallon, Nev.; Ogden, Utah; and Tooele, Utah, and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2000. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Energy Support Center, Fort Belvoir, Va., is the contracting activity (SP0600-99-D-7515).
