Boeing Defense and Space Group, Seattle, Wash., is being awarded a $5,062,861 modification to a fixed-price-incentive contract, F19628-97-C-0112-P00015, to provide for engineering and manufacturing development of multi-sensor integration-electronic surveillance measures and platform specific processing improvements and administrative refinement of baseline specifications in support of the E-3A Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) aircraft. This effort supports foreign military sales to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. Expected contract completion date is July 2001. Negotiation completion date was June 30, 1999. The project includes excavation and grading, dike embankment construction, placing geotextile fabric and geogrid, and related services. Work will be performed in Brunswick and New Hanover Counties, Wilmington, N.C., and is expected to be completed by Nov. 30, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Bill Harbert Construction Co.,* Birmingham, Ala., is being awarded a $22,384,450 firm-fixed-price contract for the alteration/additions and life safety upgrades to Naval Hospital, Pensacola, Fla. The work includes construction of a 73,000 square foot clinic in an area adjacent to the existing hospital, alterations within all eight floors of the existing hospital and the addition of a 200 ton chiller.
