Mason & Hanger Corp., Lexington, Ky., was awarded on Sept. 1, 1999, $12,582,911 as part of a not-to-exceed $70,000,000 cost-plus-award-fee, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract for the care, maintenance, security, surveillance and safety of the Newport Chemical Depot, a government owned/contractor operated facility. Work will be performed at the Newport Chemical Depot in Indiana, and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2004. This contract contains options, which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to $251,785,403. Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif., and in other SPAWAR locations worldwide, and is expected to be completed by September 2000 (contract will run through August 2007 with options). Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured by a request for proposal.
