ARMY

Constellation Technology Corp.*, Largo, Fla., is being awarded $7,669,886 as part of a $9,153,757 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract, with a cumulative total of $16,823,643 if all options are exercised for research and development in support of Nuclear Detection, Analysis and Forensics Systems. Work will be performed in Largo, Fla., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 21, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Sept. 6, 1999. The Defense Threat Reduction Agency, Dulles, Va., is the contracting activity (DTRA01-99-C-0187).

Dynetics Inc.*, Huntsville, Ala., is being awarded a $345,000 increment as part of a $24,400,000 cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity letter contract. The contractor will define the tools needed to establish a processing and exploitation node at the Army's Space & Missile Defense Command. This project covers node architecture definition, a processing and exploitation cataloging study, and integration of the missile defense acquisition. Work will be performed in Huntsville, Ala., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Sept. 1, 1999. The U.S. Army Space & Strategic Defense Command, Huntsville, Ala., is the contracting activity (DASG60-99-D-0003).

CIVIL WORKS - NON MILITARY

Beaty Construction Inc.*, Boggstown, Ind., was awarded on Sept. 20, 1999, a $2,000,000 increment as part of an $8,710,700 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of a canal walk extension, Central Indianapolis Riverfront Development. The project is for the extension of an existing concrete canal by approximately three blocks, involving demolition and construction of vehicular bridges, major excavation, masonry and stonework, well drilling, paving, sidewalks, retaining walls, lighting, irrigation and landscaping. Work will be performed in Indianapolis, Ind., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 53 bids solicited on July 22, 1999, and two bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville, Ky., is the contracting activity (DACW27-99-C-0049).

Luedtke Engineering Co.*, Frankfort, Mich., is being awarded a $6,070,500 firm-fixed-price contract for dredging contaminated sediment, using environmental bucket and silt curtains, from various locations within the Saginaw Bay/River Watershed. Work will be performed in Saginaw, Mich., and is expected to be completed by Nov. 1, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 39 bids solicited on Feb. 17, 1999, and five bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Detroit, Mich., is the contracting activity (DACW35-99-C-0038).

AIR FORCE

General Electric Company, Cincinnati, Ohio, is being awarded a $30,424,725 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract, F33657-94-D-2000-0093, to provide for nine F110 engines applicable to the F-16C/D aircraft. This effort supports foreign military sales to Egypt. Expected contract completion date is Dec. 31, 1999. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the contracting activity.

United Technologies Corp., West Palm Beach, Fla., is entering into a $16,160,000 ($8,080,000 Government Share; $8,080,000 Contractor Share) cooperative agreement, F33615-99-99-2-5216, to provide for the Metals Affordability Initiative Dual Use Science and Technology Program. This program will develop metals processing technologies that reduce acquisition costs and development time. Expected contract completion date is Aug. 26, 2005. Solicitation issue date was Feb. 8, 1998. Negotiation completion date was Aug. 26, 1999. Air Force Research Laboratory, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the contracting activity.

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

General Electric Co., Aircraft Engine Group, Lynn, Mass., is being awarded a $6,300,000 firm-fixed-price contract for afterburner flameholders. Work is expected to be completed by June 30, 2001. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Supply Center Richmond, Richmond, Va., is the contracting activity (F34601-97-G-0002-XHDX).

NAVY

Marconi Systems Technologies, Inc., Rockville, Md., is being awarded an $11,029,815 modification to previously awarded contract N00421-99-C-1550 to exercise an option for technical and engineering services in support of communication-electronic platforms. The estimated level of effort for this option is 220,500 man-hours. Work will be performed in Chesapeake, Va. (50%); St. Inigoes, Md. (30%); and California, Md. (20%), and is expected to be completed by September 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, St. Inigoes, Md., is the contracting activity.

BMAR and Associates, Inc., Hopkinsville, Ky., is being awarded a $6,988,696 firm-fixed-price, plus-award-fee contract for base operating services at Naval Air Station, China Lake, Calif., and Missile Range Facility, White Sands, N.M. This contract contains options, which, if exercised, will bring the cumulative value of this contract to $162,321,248. Work will be performed in China Lake, Calif. (98%) and White Sands, N.M. (2%), and is expected to be completed by March 2009. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 82 proposals solicited and six offers received. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southwestern Division, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity (N63387-99-D-7254).
