ARMY

Sikorsky Aircraft Corp., Stratford, Conn., was awarded an $11,073,685 modification to firm-fixed-price multi-year contract DAAJ09-97-C-0005, on Feb. 22, 2000. This contract is to definitize the conversion of four production UH-60L Black Hawk helicopters into the updated HH-60L configuration; modification of five UH-60 helicopters to a Search and Rescue configuration, and modification of six UH-60L helicopters into a unique configuration for the State Department in support of Colombian National Police. Work will be performed in Stratford, Conn., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2000. Of the total contract funds $2,000,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Oct. 17, 1995. The U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity.

AIR FORCE

Lockheed Martin Mission Systems, Santa Clara, Calif., is being awarded a $8,343,011 modification to a cost-plus-award-fee contract to provide for the Quick Reaction Demonstrator in support of the Air Force Satellite Control Network. This equipment will be utilized to demonstrate and evaluate control and status/telemetry, tracking, and command functionality. The work is expected to be completed May 2002. Space and Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles AFB, Calif., is the contracting activity (F04701-96/C-0018, P00071).

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

American Apparel, Inc., Selma, Ala., is being awarded an $7,216,586 firm-fixed-price indefinite-quantity contract for all-weather coats. Forty proposals were solicited and three were received. Work will be performed in Centre, Ala., and is expected to be completed by July 22, 2001. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SPO100-99-D-0301).
