NAVY

Beneco Enterprises, Inc., Sandy, Utah, is being awarded a $14,300,000 firm-fixed-price contract for the design and construction of 190 two-room, 66 square meter, wood framed garden-style bachelor enlisted quarters at Naval Air Station Brunswick. Work will be performed in Brunswick, Maine, and is expected to be completed by August 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 46 proposals solicited and five offers received. The Engineering Field Activity North, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Lester, Pa., is the contracting activity (N62472-98-C-0022).

Boro Developers, Inc., King of Prussia, Pa., is being awarded an $11,347,000 firm-fixed-price contract for design and construction of a 6,174 square meter research and development laboratory aircraft/platform facility at the Naval Air Engineering Station, Lakehurst. Work will be performed in Lakehurst, N.J., and is expected to be completed by April 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 13 proposals solicited and 10 offers received. The Engineering Field Activity North, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Lester, Pa., is the contracting activity (N62472-98-C-0035).

Lockheed Martin Corp., Federal Systems Owego Company, Owego, N.Y., is being awarded a $7,500,000 fixed obligation modification to provide additional funds to a previously executed 845 Other Transaction Agreement. This modification provides for additional efforts associated with the development of the H-60 Common Cockpit. Work will be performed in Owego, N.Y., and is expected to be completed by May 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00019-98-9-0132).

McDonnell Douglas Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary of the Boeing Company, St. Louis, Mo., is being awarded a $5,398,793 modification to previously awarded contract N00019-98-C-0083 to exercise an option for sustaining support services related to airframe engineering changes for the AV-8B Harrier II Plus program for the U.S. Marine Corps and the governments of Spain and Italy under the joint program. Work will be performed in St. Louis, Mo., and is expected to be completed by December 2000. Contract funds in the amount of $257,525 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

ARMY

Watterson Construction Co., Anchorage, Alaska, is being awarded a $13,605,130 firm-fixed-price contract for the design and construction of unaccompanied enlisted personnel housing. Dormitories shall be a maximum of 5,040 sq. meters to accommodate 144 enlisted men and women within 72 "1+1" modules. 1+1 modules consist of private sleeping rooms with a shared bath and kitchenette. The design will include required circulation and utility spaces along with basic public amenities such as laundry, vending, and common rooms. New building will include all utility systems; heating, ventilation and air conditioning and control systems; fire protection, and force protection measures. Work will be performed at Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska, and is expected to be completed by March 24, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 135 bids solicited on Oct. 25, 1999, and eight bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Anchorage, Alaska, is the contracting activity (DACA85-00-C-0007).

Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., Akron, Ohio, is being awarded a $7,182,569 delivery order amount as part of firm-fixed-price contract DAAE07-98-D-T041, for 64,702 tracks (T-157I), for the M2, M3, and MLRS. Work will be performed in St. Marys, Ohio, and is expected to be completed by Jan 31, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were five bids solicited on April 23, 1998, and two bids were received. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity.

Boeing Defense & Space Group, Philadelphia, Pa., is being awarded $5,571,600 as part of a $9,549,900 firm-fixed-price contract, for the maintenance and repair of 100 Chinook Helicopter (CH-47) rotor blades, forward and aft. Work will be performed in Philadelphia, Pa., and is expected to be completed by May 30, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is sole source contract initiated on Jan. 6, 1999. The U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (DAAH23-99-D-0095).

M. A. DeAtley Construction Inc.*, Clarkston, Wash., is being awarded a $5,064,245 firm-fixed-price contract to upgrade approximately 120 kilometers of gravel roads to mitigate impacts to surface water quality, soil erosion, vegetation and wildlife habitats from military training activities. The project includes processing and placing gravel, installing culverts and fords to provide protection to sensitive environment and riparian areas. Work will be performed in Yakima, Wash., and is expected to be completed by March 9, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 125 bids solicited on Feb. 1, 2000, and seven bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Seattle, Wash., is the contracting activity (DACA67-00-C-0219).

CIVIL WORKS - NON MILITARY

Johnson Brothers Corp. of Louisiana, Metairie, La., is being awarded a $900,000 increment as part of a $13,219,734 firm-fixed-price contract for the Southeast Louisiana Urban Flood Control Project, from the South Claiborne Ave. Canal, Jena St., to Louisiana Ave. Work will be performed in New Orleans, La., and is expected to be completed by Aug. 6, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 64 bids solicited on Nov. 19, 1999, and four bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans, La., is the contracting activity (DACW29-00-C-0045).
