FMC Corp., Orlando, Fla., was awarded on June 22, 2000 a $458,000,000 (maximum) indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to provide for 246 (best estimated quantity) Next Generation Small Loaders and up to fifteen years of logistics support. The Next Generation Small Loader is an air transportable, 25,000 pound capacity, mobile air cargo transporter/loader that can support all military transport and Civil Reserve Air Fleet aircraft. The Air Force can issue delivery orders for loaders and logistics support totaling up to the maximum amount indicated above, though actual requirements may necessitate less than that amount. There were two firms solicited and two proposals received. Expected contract completion date is Dec. 31, 2015. Solicitation issue date was Feb. 10, 2000. Negotiation completion date was May 26, 2000. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-00-D-0023-0001).

C.F. Jordan Limited Partnership, San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a $49,900,000 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for design and construction of a commissary and exchange mall at Naval Base Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. There were 72 firms solicited and seven proposals received. Solicitation issue date was Jan. 24, 2000. Negotiation completion date was June 23, 2000. Air Education and Training Command Contracting Squadron, Lackland AFB, Texas, is the contracting activity (F41689-00-C-0411).


IBM Global Services - Federal, Bethesda, Md., is being awarded a $36,039,679 time and material, firm-fixed-price delivery order for the initial implementation of a Navy Enterprise Maintenance Automated Information System (NEMAIS) at selected Regional Repair Centers of the mid-Atlantic region, migration of NEMAIS into the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, and configuration management. The award provides for design and development; project management and planning; deployment, operational and miscellaneous support (including training); material/subsistence/travel and miscellaneous support; core and third party user software, licenses and upgrades (includes user and system tools); and system integration or data conversion tools not covered by user software. This contract contains options, which if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to $168,500,000. Work will be performed in Norfolk, Va., and is expected to be completed by January 2001. Contract funds in the amount of $21,500,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract delivery order was competitively procured with six proposals solicited and four offers received. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (N00024-00-F-B130).


TRW Inc., Space and Electronics Group, Redondo Beach, Calif., is being awarded a $1,071,075 increment as part of a $5,601,013 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for development of a Modular, Integrated-Optic-Based RF Lightwave Circuit (RFLIC). Work will be performed in Redondo Beach, Calif. (78.5%); Tucson, Ariz. (10.8%), and Pasadena, Calif. (10.7%), and is expected to be completed by June 30, 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 27 bids solicited on June 29, 1999, and 27 bids were received. The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (MDA972-00-C-0016).
