NAVY

General Electric Aircraft Engines, General Electric Company, Lynn, Mass., is being awarded a $361,442,281 modification to previously awarded advance acquisition contract N00019-99-C-1175 to provide additional funding for the FY 2000 full rate production of 73 F414-GE-400 engines, devices, and production tooling for the F/A-18E/F aircraft. In addition, this modification provides advance funding for long lead hardware for the FY 2001 Full Rate Production of 84 F414-GE-400 engines and device kits. Work will be performed in Lynn, Mass. (58%); Evendale, Ohio (25%); Rutland, Vt. (4%); Albuquerque, N.M. (4%); Madisonville, Ky. (4%); Hooksett, N.H. (3%) and Wilmington, N.C. (2%), and is expected to be completed in September 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

BAE Systems Aerospace Electronics, Inc., Lansdale, Pa., is being awarded a $36,570,000 ceiling priced fixed price incentive fee contract for the design, test, and production of 12 modified band 9/10 transmitters (Band 7/8) for the EA-6B aircraft. Work will be performed in Lansdale, Pa., and is expected to be completed by June 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00019-00-C-0195).

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Premier Enterprises, LLC*, Aurora, Colo., was awarded on July 21, 2000 a $20,570,428 fixed-price-with-economic-price-adjustment contract for direct supply natural gas. Four hundred ninety proposals were solicited and thirty were received. Work will be performed in Panama City, Fla.; Jacksonville, Fla.; Cocoa Beach, Fla.; Charleston, S.C.; Albany, Ga.; Commerce City, Colo.; Denver, Colo., and Golden, Colo., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2002. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Energy Support Center, Fort Belvoir, Va., is the contracting activity (SP0600-00-D-7604).

Amerada Hess, Alexandria, Va., was awarded on July 21, 2000 a $7,664,740 firm-fixed-price contract for electricity. Fifty-four proposals were solicited and five were received. Work will be performed in Maryland and Delaware and is expected to be completed by June 2001.

ARMY

McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Co. d.b.a. McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Services, Mesa, Ariz., is being awarded a delivery order amount of $6,408,274 as part of firm-fixed-price (with two cost-plus-fixed-fee contract-line-options) contract DAAH23-98-G-0049, with a cumulative total of $7,870,021 if all options are exercised. The contractor will provide post-production system support of backlog requirements for the AH-64A Apache helicopter. Work will be performed in Mesa, Ariz., and is expected to be completed by July 21, 2001. Of the total contract funds, $6,408,274 will expire at the end of one calendar year. This is a sole source contract initiated on May 10, 2000. The U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity.

Maximum Technology Corp.*, Huntsville, Ala., was awarded a $1,300,000 increment as part of a $7,476,310 cost-plus-fixed-fee/level-of-effort letter contract, on July 21, 2000. This effort will provide advanced missile materials evaluation combined with instrumentation, software, and simulation and testing. Work will be performed in Huntsville, Ala., and is expected to be completed by July 20, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Feb. 29, 2000. The U.S. Army Space & Missile Defense Command, Huntsville, Ala., is the contracting activity (DASG60-00-C-0052).

Mooney and Pugh Constructors Inc.*, Spokane, Wash., is being awarded $5,841,467 as part of a $6,867,492 (total if all options are exercised) firm-fixed-price task order contract, for the design and construction of a child development center. Work will be performed at Schriever Air Force Base, Colorado Springs, Colo., and is expected to be completed by Feb. 2, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were three bids solicited on May 10, 2000, and three bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha, Neb., is the contracting activity (DACA67-00-D-0201).
