DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Sigcorp Energy Services, Evansville, Ind., was awarded on Aug. 7, 2000, a $19,732,383 fixed-price-with-economic-price-adjustment contract for direct supply natural gas. Four hundred ninety proposals were solicited and thirty were received. Work is expected to be completed by Oct. 31, 2002, and will be performed at Department of Energy Oak Ridge, Tenn. and in Ft. Knox, Ky. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Energy Support Center, Fort Belvoir, Va., is the contracting activity (SP0600-00-D-7619).

Owens & Minor Corp., Glen Allen, Va., is being awarded a $13,270,950 firm-fixed-price contract for medical/surgical support under the Prime Vendor program. Work is expected to be completed by Aug. 28, 2001. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SP0200-96-D-7125).

Smart and Final Food Distributors Inc., Stockton, Calif., is being awarded a $5,000,000 firm-fixed-price indefinite-quantity contract for food and beverage support under the Prime Vendor program. Fifty-five proposals were solicited and five were received. Work is expected to be completed by Aug. 10, 2001. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SP0300-00-D-2943).

ARMY

Auburn University, Auburn, Ala., is being awarded a $900,000 increment as part of a $13,826,880 cost/level-of-effort contract for research and development to improve the efficiency of current radar electric power systems. This effort is intended to reduce the logistical tail associated with current mobile radars and will place mobile radars in applications and on board platforms not previously contemplated. Work will be performed in Auburn, Ala., and is expected to be completed by Aug. 7, 2006. Of the total contract funds, $5,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on April 13, 2000. The U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command, Huntsville, Ala., is the contracting activity (DASG60-00-C-0070).

CIVIL WORKS - NON MILITARY

King Fisher Marine Service Inc., Port Lavaca, Texas, is being awarded a $50,000 increment of a $6,557,319 (base year total) firm-fixed-price contract, with a cumulative total of $7,721,159 if all options are exercised. The project is for dredging and removal of material from the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway, and includes filling 7,025 feet of 15/20 ft. circumference geo-tube in the construction of a marsh restoration project. Disposal is in confined, partially confined and open water placement. Work will be performed from Galveston Causeway to Bastrop Bayou in Galveston and Brazoria Counties, Texas, and is expected to be completed by April 30, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 22 bids solicited on June 27, 2000, and four bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston, Texas, is the contracting activity (DACW64-00-C-0026).

NAVY

Titan Systems Corp., Linkabit Division, San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a $6,685,548 firm-fixed-price contract to develop, produce and test Miniaturized Demand Assigned Multiple Access (Mini-DAMA) Advanced Digital Waveform (ADW) upgrade circuit cards. The ADW upgrade circuit cards will implement the multi-h continuous phase modulation mode specified in MIL-STD-188-181B and also preserve the existing Mini-DAMA functionalities. The ADW upgrade circuit cards will be installed in ship, submarine and shore variants of the Mini-DAMA terminal. This contract contains options, which if exercised, would bring the total cumulative value of this contract to $10,000,000. Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif., and is expected to be completed by November 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity (N00039-00-C-3204).
