ARMY

GTSI Corp., Chantilly, Va., is being awarded $75,000 as part of an $857,210,421 (total includes options) firm-fixed-price, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract, and is a dual award to the IBM Global Services-Federal, Boulder, Colo., contract (DAAB07-00-D-H252). The contractor will supply commercial, high-end 64-bit servers, workstations, operating systems, compilers, software applications, peripherals, local and wide area networking (hardware & software), engineering and support services (classified and unclassified), managed environment support, equipment maintenance, system upgrades (to maintain the managed environment), training, leasing, associated documentation, and consumables to meet worldwide requirements of the government. Work will be performed in Chantilly, Va., and is expected to be completed by Aug. 22, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There was an announcement on the World Wide Web on March 9, 2000, and four bids were received. The U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command, Fort Monmouth, N.J., is the contracting activity (DAAB07-00-D-H251).

CORRECTION

The Aug 28, 2000 announcement for IBM Global Services-Federal, Boulder, Colo., in the amount of $617,635,975 (total includes options), which is a dual award to the GTSI contract listed above, should have had a release date of today, Aug. 29, 2000 and a completion date of Aug. 22, 2002. EQR/Lincoln Fort Lewis Communities, Bethel Park, Pa., is being awarded $350,000 as part of a $300,000,000 firm-fixed-price contract to acquire the community development and management plan for military family housing privatization, residential communities initiative. Work will be performed at Fort Lewis, Wash., and is expected to be completed by Feb. 28, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There was an announcement in the Commerce Business Daily on May 10, 2000, and eight bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity (DACA02-00-C-0002).

Syndetix Inc.*, Las Cruces, N.M., is being awarded a firm-fixed-price, cost reimbursable indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity, task-order arrangement contract with a cumulative total of $37,670,486, for flight hours in support of training, operational and contingency missions. The aircraft is a commercially available fighter-class aircraft. An appropriation number and dollar value will be issued with each task order. Work will be performed in Las Cruces, N.M. (25%); Albuquerque, N.M. (25%), and at various training/operational sites (50%), and is expected to be completed by May 31, 2005. There was a synopsis in Commerce Business Daily, and an announcement on the Army Space Command Web Page on March 10, 2000, and two bids were received. The U.S. Army Space Command, Colorado Springs, Colo., is the contracting activity (DASG62-00-D-0003).

Simula Safety Systems, Tempe, Ariz., is being awarded $7,000,000, as part of a $22,000,000 firm-fixed-price contract for 20,000 small arms protective inserts. Work will be performed in Tempe, Ariz., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2001. Of the total contract funds, $7,000,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract. The U.S. Army Materiel Command Acquisition Center, Natick, Mass., is the contracting activity (DAAD16-00-D-0016).

GE Engine Services, Cincinnati, Ohio, is being awarded a $12,328,120 firm-fixed-price contract for the maintenance and overhaul of 70 engines (T700-GE-700) applicable to the Black Hawk aircraft. Work will be performed in Arkansas City, Kan., and is expected to be completed by Oct. 30, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were two bids solicited on May 12, 2000, and two bids were received. The U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (DAAH23-00-C-0335).

Honeywell International Inc., Tempe, Ariz., is being awarded a $7,231,266 indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract (minimum quantity of 175 and maximum quantity of 425), for the overhaul/repair of 175 Auxiliary Power Units applicable to the AH-64 Apache helicopter. Work will be performed in Phoenix, Ariz., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were two bids solicited on April 20, 2000, and one bid was received. The U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (DAAH23-00-D-0103).

Sabreliner Corp., St. Louis, Mo., is being awarded a $6,157,481 firm-fixed-price contract for the maintenance and overhaul of 70 engines (T700-GE-700) applicable to the Black Hawk aircraft. Work will be performed in Neosho, Mo., and is expected to be completed by Oct. 30, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were two bids solicited on May 12, 2000, and two bids were received. The U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (DAAH23-00-C-0334).

CIVIL WORKS - NON MILITARY

Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Co., Oak Brook, Ill., was awarded $5,000 on Aug. 28, 2000, as part of a $10,752,677 firm-fixed-price contract for beach nourishment along 9.3 miles of shoreline just south of Port Canaveral, Fla. Work will be performed at Coco Beach, Fla., and is expected to be completed by April 30, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 55 bids solicited on June 28, 2000, and three bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville, Fla., is the contracting activity (DACW17-00-C-0035).

CORRECTION

The Aug. 25, 2000 announcement for Motorola Inc., Systems Solution Group, Scottsdale, Ariz., should have had a release date of today, Aug. 29, 2000, and the modification award amount should have been $11,400,000 not 14,522,626 (DAAB07-96-C-S204).

AIR FORCE

McDonnell Douglas Corp., St. Louis, Mo., was awarded on Aug. 28, 2000, a $61,500,000 (not-to-exceed) option to a firm-fixed-price contract to provide for two F-15E aircraft. Expected contract completion date is April 30, 2003. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-00-C-0013-P00002).

Government Business Services Group, Tampa, Fla., was awarded on Aug. 28, 2000, a $21,200,595 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to provide for end-to-end personnel security investigations services through March 2002 in support of the Defense Security Service. The contractor will perform security background investigations of government and contractor personnel and will compile and provide appropriate reports of investigation to the government. Funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued. The Air Force can issue delivery orders in values totaling up to the maximum amount indicated above, though actual requirements may necessitate less than this amount. Solicitation issue date was Feb. 29, 2000. Negotiation completion date was Aug. 28, 2000. The 11th Contracting Squadron, Bolling AFB, DC, is the contracting activity (F49642-00-D5003).

Stinar Corp., St. Paul, Minn., was awarded on Aug. 28, 2000, an $8,224,388 option to a firm-fixed-price contract to provide for 236 each Flightline Tow Tractors in two wheel and four-wheel drive. Deliveries begin June 2001 and expected contract completion is June 2002, at a rate of 20 each per month. Solicitation issue date was March 10, 1999. Negotiation completion date was Sept. 17, 1999. Warner Robins Air Logistics Center, Robins AFB, Ga., is the contracting activity (F09603-99-C-0317-P00006).

NAVY

R. A. Burch Construction Company, Inc.*, Ramona, Calif., is being awarded a $6,650,002 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of a 2,932 square meter addition to the physical fitness center at Travis Air Force Base. Work will be performed in Fairfield, Calif., and is expected to be completed by December 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 44 proposals solicited and three offers received. The Engineering Field Activity West, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, San Bruno, Calif., is the contracting activity (N62474-99-C-6053).

Innovative Concepts, Inc., McLean, Va., is being awarded a $5,778,387 cost-plus-fixed-fee research and development term contract for technical and engineering efforts in support of digital data dissemination tools and spacecraft subsystems. Specific tasks to be addressed shall include technical and engineering efforts to support: on-going ground station projects; new projects and initiatives/advanced tactical communications; and on board processor flight software. This contract contains options, which if exercised, would bring the total cumulative value of this contract to $29,686,897. Work will be performed in McLean, Va., and is expected to be completed by August 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured under a request for proposals with one offer received. The Naval Research Laboratory, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity (N00173-00-C-6023).
